We initially asked for a room more quiet and although the room was beautiful, it was the weekend (also, a festival was happening) and with that comes a lot of noise. Westloop became the small Meatpacking of Chicago where people party with loud music. When we mentioned the issue they looked into it and found a room on the pickleball side that was a lot more quiet. They didn’t make a fuss for the switch and the gentlemen even took the time to show us some options. We definitely appreciated the attention to detail and would stay here again.

FAQs about hotels in Chicago

Our Kind of Town

Standing proud beside Lake Michigan, Chicago is down-to-earth, friendly, and full of culture. It has outdoor art by famous artists including Chagall and Picasso, and there are some fascinating architectural works from the Art Institute of Chicago.

Home to blues and house music, Chicago has an eclectic music scene that reflects its spirit. The Windy City is also a pioneer in a variety of Americanized dishes from it's European immigrant roots like deep-dish pizza and the Chicago hot dog.

The world’s first skyscraper and Ferris wheel were erected in Chicago. The latter, on Navy Pier, is one of the Midwest’s most visited sights. Also famed is the ‘L’ transport system, whose raised trains circle The Loop, the main business district. Check out its skyline reflection in the shiny bean sculpture in huge Millennium Park.

Home of the Bulls and Bears, Chicago is a stronghold of sport and has teams playing baseball, basketball, American football and hockey, to name a few. If you get a chance, try to catch a game.

Chicago Midway and Chicago O’Hare Airport are both on the outskirts of this vast city, so make sure to leave enough time for travel from your Booking.com hotel, apartment or hostel. And all that jazz.

The weather is uncontrollable, so bring water shoes, baby wipes, and a packable poncho and roll with it. Less is more, do a museum and plan your travel there and back so that many of the sites can be included en route. Public transportation is great and still cheaper than rideshare. The city is filled with great food, unique architecture, and entertainment for everyone.

Chicago itself waS GREAT!

Chicago itself waS GREAT! I had my tripped planned and I did everything I planned... Chicago owes me nothing, The river cruises were good I did the Architectural Cruise and the Sight seening cruise, the River walk is everything. I'm coming back soon to eat more and relax. The only thing bad was the Train ride home, the train had engine failure and we had a two (2) hour layover in Joliet, IL until buses came to take 280 passengers to different locations.

My first time here, and it was great, I visit the Starbucks Reserve Roastery, The Beam, Wildberry Pancakes & Cafe, The Navy Pier amongst other places and I enjoyed them all. Me and my husband watch the fireworks show, did a speedboat ride and R&B cruise it was great.

Chicago Art Institute, Millennium Park, architectural river...

Chicago Art Institute, Millennium Park, architectural river cruise, public transportation, restaurants near hotel--Momento, Miller's, Elephant and Castle, so many tall buildings--Willis Tower Skydeck. Lake Michigan beaches/Lake Shore Drive--seeing boats in the water and at marinas, varied architecture of buildings. Disappointed the Chicago Tribune is no longer available in print, couldn't even find a New York Times (which is still in print)

Chicago has excellent public transportation.

Chicago has excellent public transportation. I traveled from Denver CO to Chicago for a one day dragon boat race, then had three days to tour the city. Purchased a 7-day CTA pass for $20, probably didn't break even, but convenience was worth it. Big Chinatown, packed during a street festival weekend. Visited Obama Center complex, much appreciated!

A city that is extremely pretty and underrated. The river cruise, the train and the bus system were awesome. Learn about the underground pedway before you go there, to stay away from the weather conditions.

It was an amazing hotel. We booked it for 2 nights. Location is good, right on the magnificent miles. You can walk to almost all tourist places in downtown. Got several food options nearby. Staff was helpful . Rooms were spacious and clean. 360 observatory, oak st beach, ohio st beach, navy pier, the cloud gate, crown fountain were close. The boatrides and cruise rides could be taken easily too from chicago riverwalk. Loved the ambience. Overall a great stay.

Staff very friendly and helpful. The room was great and very clean! Beds super comfy and huge TV. Welcome Treats: fortune cookies and nespresso coffee machine. Plus, the decoration was simple but really modern. In short, I highly recommend the hotel because the staff is great, the rooms are modern and super clean and the location is amazing to explore the magnificent mile and downtown Chicago.

The hotel is located downtown in the immediate vicinity of Michigan Ave. Chicago sights are within walking distance. The staff is very kind, responds promptly to requests. The breakfast is poor, you should not have very high expectations. The quality-price ratio is correct.
