This place is truly a hidden gem! Private, quiet (minus the lovely sound of waterfalls and bells), and a retreat away from the touristy centers. Basic yet comfortable amenities and space for a family of 4. Prepared meals in the kitchen, plenty of sitting areas, furnace works great on cool nights, comfortable beds. On-site parking and walkability to the affiliated restaurant where the staff will treat you with special attention. We have been to the Lauterbrunnen area 4x but our first stay in Stechelberg. Conflicted recommending to others yet also keeping it a secret.

The Edelweiss Lodge was a charming 120 year old building in lovely Wilderswil, a great location to get to everything. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds, we booked the private room with a bath. After a long day the garden was peaceful and beautiful and the spa or bath was an absolute bonus. The tasty breakfast with an amazing view was brilliant. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!!

The property was very clean and well equipped, with a beautiful view if you sat near the living room window. Wengen Apartments was the best property management/host I have encountered. They were quick to respond to questions and were exceptional in providing extra help when needed.

Being honest ,coming from Hospitality business background I do have higher expectations. Seems like they don't care safety since they don't have to worry about law suites like in America. Bathtub was 2 feet higher and you have to be able to lift your leg that up. We were ok being all young people in family but It would be impossible for elderly person. Tub and bath floor was very slippery with no actions taken to prevent it and when brought into their attention it was just simply ignored. You are in Switzerland so be ready to Hike up and down to just get into your apartment and this was in car free town so even more. No help of transportation or luggage provided by Host ( Wengan Apartment Rental ). No service was provided in 5 nights stay when requested they did provide us with extra towels. As an American I can tell that they fell short of expectation on service part.

The property had plenty of space and has an amazing view of Lauterbrunnen. The property owner responded quickly to any questions we had.

Everything was perfect. We stayed for 5 nights. The location is beautiful with a mountain view. The staff was excellent and they provide everything what we needed.

The views from the apartment were exceptionally beautiful and it is in a great location for access to Wengen and the Jungfrau area. The management was very responsive to our questions and our needs. They spoke English which is often something overlooked but very much appreciated. The apartment was very comfortable and we enjoyed our time in Wengen.

Large and cozy. Easy walk from the train station and Main Street. The view is incredible, alone worth the stay. The apartment is clean. Provided adequate linens and towels. Even had some left over condiments from previous renters which was nice to not have to buy.
