This is an amazing place. We booked last minute so missed out on the evening Bat Tour. If you go be sure to book this in advance. Otherwise you don't need a tour. The place is amazing with all of the wildlife - actually not on the trails but close to the rooms. The trails are lots of fun and the hanging bridges espescially.

Incredible experience - both guided and self guided - saw so many animals. Loved the accommodations as we listened to the sounds of the rain forest. We enjoy camping and being outdoors so Yatama was an amazing location for us. The staff are very passionate, knowledgeable and engaging. The meals were excellent and they were able to provide a gluten free option for our daughter. We really appreciated the complimentary rubber boots and walking sticks. The communication prior to arrival was very responsive. Pedro has certainly created a unique and wonderful place off the beaten track!

Staff very friendly and always helpful. Beautiful grounds. A paradise. Restaurant was quite good and breakfast buffet was excellent. A wonderful experience.

Amazing location.. they have biologist working there, just ask a question and they will give all their knowledge in a very engaging conversation! This place is like staying in a national park in your backyard! You take some trails.. rest in your room when your body ask for a break.. repeat again. Very nice for bird watching. Simple but very nice rooms the nicers are further for reception but you can drive back or walk 20 minutes. The closest are basic and most common for researches but great if you don’t have a car and want less walk so your choice!

Huge grounds with rooms spread out. 2 pools. And trails to explore and bird. Large open restaurant. Our room was huge.

Everything, this was a treat and I could have stayed there for ever. The breakfast included was so good with many choices. This is great for person that want to be in nature.

Great service staff, best bang for your buck. Pool was great, view beautiful. Close to everything you want to see. Room spacey and water pressure amazing.

its great area with 1st class accomodation

We are a family of five and stayed here for two nights on our way to Tortuguero. We couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised. The location is perfect, right on the Saripiquí River, and the house feels brand new with chic design and top-quality materials. It feels like a boutique hotel. The terrace view is stunning, the kitchen fully equipped, and the shower excellent with hot water and a rainfall shower. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the barbecue area. Everything is thoughtfully designed and well maintained.

Location. King size bed. Google tv. Fridge. Porch with furniture. Hot shower. Easy to communicate host. Air con. Spacious room.

Middle of the rainforest sits their cute little wood cabin. There is not glass only mesh windows which is nice but a bit loud in the night with animals and rain. The washroom is clean with warm water shower that requires a bit of tinkering to get. Wendy and her family was so nice to us even though we only stayed a day. The location is near the Tirimbina reserve so we stayed here for the night walk. Cute dog too! Hummingbirds were right outside the cabin feasting on flowers.

The rental was exceptional. Clean and comfortable.Daniel was an excellent host and I definitely recommend the property.He allowed us access to his personal land to photo Macaws and toucans.They were abundant.Great place great value

GREAT Location near the tropical forest preserves and the Sarapiqui River, right near the Best Chocolate Farm, where we also took a night hike, and just down the road from Aventuras del Sarapiqui (excellent whitewater rafting). It's a private house off the main road and I was worried about dogs barking as mentioned in some other reviews, but it was not a problem at all. It's a split level with two separate sleeping spaces, king bed in upstairs room and queen bed in the downstairs room, each having their own bathroom with showers. The main kitchen/dining area was great for preparing easy meals: rice and beans for dinners and fried egg sandwiches for breakfast. And best of all is our host, Maria who has been SO accommodating and friendly. We just message each other through WhatsApp (I use Google Translate to convert from her Spanish to my English). It's not a luxury hotel but instead a very artistically decorated two bedroom apartment and I highly recommend.

it was over the top clean, nice, safe and quiet country house. I love animals so roosters were fun to see and hear. really smart kitchen everything smelled clean and looked spotless.

This "Guest House" is huge. A family of 4+ could easily move in here and live comfortably. The back decks are beautiful to just sit and watch the jungle. It is a little way down the road from the city, which means it is quiet and very laid back. I had both a breakfast and a dinner while at the guest house. Both were great portions with a lot of variety, tasty, and well worth the money. Unfortunately, my schedule and Wendy's schedule didn't align for her bird tour. There was lots of flora and fauna to explore. My personal sightings included Toucans and a Morpha butterfly. I'm willing to bet that there was a lot I missed that Wendy could have found and shared!

I felt like I had a good sense of this incredible destination from other reviews and was not disappointed. It's stunning and well-worth the rugged journey. The views are breath-taking and the wildlife abundant, from the 3 toucans who greeted us outside the bedroom window on our arrival, to the howler monkeys, cows, and countless other birds and creatures. We stayed two nights with our college-aged children and planned for a rest day on the property in between, but there was too much right there to see and explore for any resting! Our horseback riding tour was a highlight-- calm and confident horses and friendly capable guides-- I highly recommend. The night tour through the jungle was fascinating for most of us, and slightly frightening for one of us. ;-) We were well taken care-of, generous hospitality, and delicious meals. Our entire Costa Rican experience was amazing, and Mirador Prendas was the top of the list.

I had an amazing stay. The place was beautifully decorated, peaceful and well-equipped. It is in a beautiful green area close to attractions such as Tirimbina Rainforest. Furthermore, the hosts were very friendly and provided excellent support and service. I had a great experience and would highly recommend staying here.
