In addition to an excellent breakfast, our morning meal was made all the better by discussions on the Orkney islands, background on sites worth seeing and information that made our exploration of the islands easier. The location served us well for visiting a number of historic sites and the capital, Kirkwall. Our room was supplied by essentials most B & Bs don't provide. If we were returning to the Orkney islands, we'd welcome the opportunity to return Orkney Bed and Whisky.

United StatesAmazing and interesting place! It used to be a pub, so there's a bar in the living room. Host provided peat charcoal to burn in the little fireplace. Large "commercial" kitchen that used to support the pub, so don't expect a stylish residential kitchen. That said, there are two refrigerators and lots of prep space. Bathroom is very minimal, but my grown daughters LOVED staying here with the neighbor's animals straying into our yard, the dart board in the living room, and the beautiful rustic surroundings outside of the city. Everyone got their own bed, and there was lots of room to spread out for a family of 5. Would highly recommend staying here if you want a taste of local color (**Note: if you're looking for a polished hotel or professional bed and breakfast, this is not the place.**)

Loved the location, parking was great. We had everything we required so it made our few days very pleasant.
We were left a basket with biscuits and bread, fridge had milk and small butter pats, a lovely touch. Cleaning materials were in the cupboard for our use. All in all a very considerate host.

Property was perfect. It was very clean, well equipped, everything you could ever want was there, great attention to detail, comfortable beds, great location with parking. Felt like home . Hosts communicated well and check in was easy.

Great compact apartment. Everything was very clean and convenient, and well supplied. The location was very good for both the neolithic sites and Kirkwall. There is a good supermarket in Kirkwall (10 minutes by car). There are some nice walks for the evening, and the parking is easy. The Wifi worked well, and the washer is modern and easy to use. This was a good break from B&B allowing us to eat more lightly and save some money.

Everything spotlessly clean conveniently located for access to main Sromness to Kirkwall Road with good store nearby. Fridge and also TVs in bedroom as well as living area. Basic tea coffee bread milk and biscuits left for us. Received call saying key left at the property open on arrival. Lots of parking room . Good shower and toiletries a nice touch

Wonderful accommodation that included all the essentials for preparing your own meals. Place is modern and exceptionally clean. The washing machine was very welcome to have. This was ideal for my husband and I to do our explore of Orkney Island. Plenty of room for parking and great location.
