Country side, very close to a cute village with perfect local pubs

We travelled from South Africa for a 3 week Christmas stay at Smarmore and it was perfect for us. We wanted something in the country but not too far from the towns. The drive from the towns to Smarmore Cottage, especially at night, were something from a movie! The quiet surroundings, the views, the cosiness of the cottage, the convenience of having a washing machine & dryer and an airfyer which we'd never used before (we'll be buying one now) and all the little extras. Our hosts had Christmas decorations in the windows too which was such a lovely touch. Thank you Katy & Michael, we'd love to come back again one day :)

Beautiful setting away from town but not too far to drive for food and places of interest.

What’s not to love?! The entire experience was absolutely incredible! Valerie was lovely, the apartment was exquisite and delightfully comfortable. Loved the homey touches and attention to detail in every which way. Felt incredibly spoiled!! This place is truly a hidden gem, no question. We are looking forward to coming back!

The apartments are in the country, surrounded by forests and a bucolic field of cows. Absolutely lovely. It’s helpful to have a car.

Close to the Dublin airport and conveniently of the M-1

Absolutely spectacular garden and home. Huge rooms. The host is very gracious and helpful. Excellent food and drink right down the street.

Luxorious room with a large bathtub. Quiet and secluded location. Great value for money.

Cozy suite with all amenities needed. Host was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of great information about history and to help us on our journey. Very accommodating!

The staff was excellent 👌🏾. The rooms were so beautiful and comfortable. And the food was amazing and delicious, both dinner and breakfast.

We had every faculty needed. Lovely hot showers and picnic benches outside. Kitchen had everything. Girls loved the high stools to sit at.
