Pet-friendly hotels and homes in Cairndow

For us, part of the charm of b&bs is directly meeting the hosts, but illness prevented that and we do hope that Amanda made a full recovery. The cottage is charming and quirky, the location and views superb and beautiful. Our beds were comfortable, and we liked having an open fire and a clothes washer. The stairs and small landing are a bit of a challenge for very young or older visitors, and anyone with a carryon suitcase. The kitchen is well equipped, but the microwave and freezer required the assistance of less height challenged partners. That said, the appliances, sink and counters were nice and clean. The dishes, pans and silverware were in a state of disorder and less than clean, perhaps due to the carelessness of previous guests (and illness precluded a thorough check of cupboards by the host). The bedrooms and bathrooms were tidy and clean, and the linens and towels. There is a nice big shower in the downstairs bathroom with plenty of pressure and hot water. It is very convenient to have a little loo at the top of the stairs, especially at night. A storm with heavy winds, rains and power outages caused our flight to be cancelled and rerouted a day later to Edinburgh vs. Glasgow from Dublin, but we were glad we finally made it to the Moorings and had time to visit the area even with one less night's lodging. A generous offer of an extra night's stay was extended. Though we couldn't change our set schedule and accept, we appreciated that so much. We were able to walk to Castle Lachlan and explore the ruins of, what was once, the seat of the ancestors of one of our party's members!

Tanamuir was the perfect size for our family gathering. The home was well equipped, clean and comfortable. The log burner was very cozy at night.

Location was amazing - truly can’t get enough of the views around the property and so much to do in easy travelling distances. Owner was extremely helpful when we had a small problem with the shower - was quick to reply and problem was sorted straight away. Clean and cosy, just felt like a family home which is unusual and was great!

It was nice and clean cabin. Louisa was very nice and helpful, giving us a lot of information on places to visit and eat. We already planning to go back 😃

It was the perfect size to explore Inveraray and the surrounding area for a few days. Wonderful location and beautiful views from the windows of Loch Fyne.

Breakfast was delicious. Cold starters (yogurt with fruit) and pastries on buffet table then hot breakfast to order. Live entertainment in the bar on Friday was fabulous. Dinner was delicious and then we stayed to watch Starsky perform until the bar closed.

We often stay with work and always love the experience. The Hotel has fabulous staff and the food is outstanding.

We liked everything about Stunning views .The location was lovely and it was a very relaxing environment.Everything in the house met our needs making our couple of days away very enjoyable .Getting up in the morning and seeing the lovely views out each window was wonderful and made us feel very chilled .😊

Room was super. Food was fab. Could not fault this hotel or this part of scotland.
