Pet-friendly hotels and homes in Thaxted

It was clean, modern, private and warm. It felt luxurious! I liked how the hedgehog cabin had pictures of hedgehogs, very on theme.

John and Joan are incredibly nice people who will help in every situation!

It was delightful, very clean and stylish, we would have loved to have spent more time in it, we were in the area for a wedding. We’d love to return to explore the area and enjoy some of the local walks and restaurants. Shaun, our host was really helpful and recommended local restaurants to eat. We ate at The Fox on the Green, which we really enjoyed and it was wonderful to be able to walk and enjoy the local wine. My advice would be to put in the village and the street name rather than the post code when travelling to the cottage. It was such a nice break and a delight to stay somewhere so nice with such a lovely family history.

My mother and I had a wonderful stay in this lovely cottage. It was clean, comfortable, cool in a 30 degree heatwave, lovely shady patio for sitting out, we loved to do this every evening on our return and first thing in the morning, watching the horses and listening to the birds.. Furnishings were so pretty and everything worked as it should. Beds were comfortable. Nice big mugs, tea pots, plentiful crockery, appreciated the dishwasher (but where were the tablets? We had to buy some). Check in was easy with the keybox. Parking was easy right outside the property Gorgeous area with so many pretty villages to visit and lots to do within an easy drive.

Pleasant and accommodating with a last minute reservation. Had heavy bags they didn't hesitate to help me with. Gave me helpful suggestions/recommendations to help me navigate getting currency exchanged. Even though I was too tired to participate, there was also a trivia night going on! Food was tasty as well.
