What a find! Yala Lodge is incredible. The views of peacocks, hornbills, water buffalo etc out our window was a unique experience. The villa was clean and comfortable. We loved the pool and the peace and quiet. You are in your own little world right outside Yala. The staff make this place extra special. Ruma went above and beyond for us. The mission and vision of this place appealed to us as we are also educators. Take the time to relax here on your next trip!

What can we say? An unexpected and memorable stay here in this super comfortable room where we were thoroughly spoiled from beginning to end. Shehan, you are the perfect host and think of everything! Highlights of our short stay included walks along this stunning beach, the jeep trip to the safari where Shehan expertly and respectfully located so many beautiful animals including the pinnacle of the sightings – the majestic Lucas the leopard – and his queen too. We also saw a cobra! Finally the food! What culinary delights – the coffee cake on arrival – the beautifully cooked lobster and red snapper with elegant salad and rice – and a breakfast worthy of a 5* restaurant. All round top class! Very nice hotel. The rooms are large, clean and you feel comfortable right away. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The food was very delicious. Overall a very pleasant stay and definitely recommended.

This quiet little cottage was a perfect place to base ourselves for a few days while we explored Yala, Lunugamvehera, Udawalawe, and Ella. Our hosts, Gayan and his family, went above and beyond to ensure we had a happy and comfortable visit, and we were honored to be their first guests through Booking.com. Their kindnesses included such touches as providing us with limes from their own tree and preparing us a special breakfast (including delicious milk rice) on our first day. They also showed us around town and even helped my friend find a shop that had some particular things she was looking for. The property itself is cozy and beautiful. If you sleep in the front room (the one with the king bed and small bed), you can fall asleep to the sounds of the distant sea even with the windows closed. If you prefer a more silent night, you will find that in the back room (the one with the loft bed). The front room opens to the outdoor living space you see in the photos. It is a beautiful place to sit with your morning coffee or to relax in the afternoon. The back room and the kitchen open to the outdoors, and there is a paved walkway connecting the back room, the kitchen, and the outdoor living space. There are friendly dogs who will hang out with you on the property, but they do not enter the porch/living area or the rooms. They are sweet, calm, pleasant company. There's a good restaurant next door, which is convenient for dinner. You could cook in the well-prepared kitchen, but we did not do this during our stay. We also did not walk to town, although you probably could. The hosts are planning to add a couple more rooms to the property over time, but for now, it's just this one perfect little cottage. Much as the name suggests, Garnet Yala Beach truly is a gem. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place near the parks who wants a peaceful beachy spot hosted by a lovely family.

The property is beautiful. The room we stayed at was quite spacious. The dinner was really tasty and needless to mention the staff was really friendly and hospitable.

This probably is my fourth stay and I am back at work after a while. The property is completely revamped by the owner. The rooms now have brand new quiet air conditioners, sparkling clean and the washroom is also super clean with hot water. This place is situated conviniently at the visinities of Yala so If anyone intend to visit the National Park of Yala, this is the place to stay. The breakfast was great with typical Sri Lankan style curry and bread. The owner of the property is very friendly and he is keen on helping the guests who stay at the place. This will be my place to stay when I work at Yala.

The property owner was not on sight but was in constant communication. He was very concerned for our safety, comfort and satisfaction. We had a snafu over whether AC was included or not but it was quickly resolved in a reasonable manner. I can't say enough good things about the owner and the hosts that live on site. The hosts are brother/sister and prepare amazing food and are available to answer questions and arrange transportation. Request the coconut pancakes - to die for! The beach is a short walk through the trees away and is nearly private! It seems that only the locals know how to access it publicly.

We had an amazing stay at Yala Green Eco Lodge! The location is perfect just a short distance from the entrance of Yala National Park, making it super convenient for early morning safaris. The lodge itself is beautiful, with a peaceful and eco-friendly atmosphere. The pool was fantastic, very clean and a perfect relaxing spot after a long day of exploring. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, well-maintained, and comfortable, making our stay even more enjoyable. What truly made our experience special was the incredible staff. Everyone was so welcoming, helpful, and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. Their hospitality made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and well located place to stay near Yala, I highly recommend Yala Green Eco Lodge! Would stay here again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lovely family, beautiful place surrounded by rice fields. There were some insects in the bathroom because they had a lot of rain recently but we suggested to the owner to add some mesh/netting outside the bathroom windows to try to prevent bugs from coming in and he seemed receptive of the suggestion. Also a mosquito net in the room would be great! We booked a half day Yala tour through them and it was nice they organized that for us and we enjoyed the safari. We didn’t eat at the accommodation but it was an option for them to cook dinner since the location is a bit secluded. Room was comfy but those couple of adjustments would make it even better! We would still recommend staying here if you want some peace and quiet! Just note there was no WiFi but our Sri Lankan eSIM worked well there.

The place is fantastic, it's so serene and tranquil! And the hosts are absolutely amazing, and made us feel we are home all the time. And the food they cooked is DELICIOUS!! If you want your mind recharged, you must stay here for a couple of days. The place is spotless!

The staff was very friendly and humble.. They were willing to provide anything we requested asap to make our stay more comfortable. Really happy abt the food also. They were able to provide all the items we ordered and it was tasty. Location also attractive, lake view and the outdoor dining facility while enjoying the view is exceptional.

It was excellent environment, calm and quiet surrounding. Friendly staff and the best service.
