I chose this location as it was a short drive to Tawharanui Regional Park. Christine met me on arrival and showed me around and gave me excellent suggestions of what to see in the area. I only had an overnight stop but there was everything available that I needed in a lovely quiet setting. The bed was very comfortable. Loved the back deck where you could view the visiting wildlife and the bush walk down to the beach was handy.

Just 5 minutes’ walk from Kawau Bay, Salty Dog Inn features a restaurant, BBQ facilities and free karaoke. All rooms have satellite TV, and free Wi-Fi is available in the business center.

Amazing spot on top of a hill from which you have an amazing view of both sunset and dawn. Lovely host, plus you get cuddle Nisha free of charge (the happiest and sweetest German shepard that there is. Very clean as well. Great shower, bathroom and kitchen
