Hurstmere Cottage is 5mins from Matakana. Nestled privately at the back of our farm, the cottage is surrounded in countryside with tuis, bellbirds and even kookaburras, it is instantaneous relaxation. With 4 large bedrooms, it is suitable for groups or multiple families. Please note one of the rooms with 4 single beds is in a large loft and is accessed by an attic stair case, (see photos) suitable for able bodied only approx 5-55yrs old. Our property is connected to the new cycleway you can be into the township or exploring the beaches and countryside with ease. Be sure to bring bikes and good walking shoes! Hurstmere is an idyllic location, ready for you to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a glass of wine as you watch the sun set on the deck. Enjoy sitting around the fire pit during the applicable fire season months. We also have horses also on the property, please contact us if you would like to bring your horse(s),
Hi I’m Carla, I've hosted our dedicated Airbnb's for 8 yrs a converted barn/ cottage on our 23 acre property in beautiful Matakana. Matakana is only 1hr nth of CBD Auckland on an easy motorway. Matakana a favourite weekend destination. We live 50metres away down below in the farmhouse and respect your privacy but we are available at any time before 10.00pm to assist.
Matakana is a glorious little township with amazing eateries, bakeries, shops, movie theatre, art galleries, and the famous Saturday markets. Some of NZ's nicest beaches are only a 10min drive from here. Vineyards and eateries in the surrounding areas are world class, so much to do, allow yourself at a minm 3 days to cover it all. Matakana is a 5mins by car or 10min by bike. Buses from Auckland stop in Warkworth where you can easily catch a taxi to the property, approx a 15min taxi ride.
