The staff was absolutely lovely. When I booked this stay, looking at the Google Map, it appeared everything would be in walking distance. It is set in an absolutely beautiful village. However, we did have to obtain a rental car to get to our event and to visit with our son. I can't say one negative thing about the facility. The people were so gracious. Would love to come back when we visit again.

A family of four stayed for 3 nights in a 2 bed apartment directly above the pub. + Superb quality of decor, fixtures and fittings, very comfortable and practical space to stay in + A very 'cosy' pub with beautiful decor and the log burners going which was nice + Extremely approachable, attentive and sharp staff + Very high quality food and beers + One of the few places we've stayed that we'd definitely stay at again! + Beautiful, quiet village locale with a lovely walk up to the 'three hills'

I almost didn't want to do a review on the Thorn B&B because it was so perfect I wanted to keep it a secret 🤫 Gorgeous, quiet location. Great to have a whole little house all to ourselves. Lovely cooked breakfast hand delivered each morning. The lovely host, Alex, likes to deliver breakfast by 8am so if you want a lie in take some cereal or bread for toast and make your own in the little kitchen where a microwave, small fridge with chiller slot (not freezer), coffee machine, toaster and kettle are provided. There's also tea, coffee pods, condiments, jam and a big barrel of biscuits provided. Small living room with smart TV, cupboard that doubled up as a wardrobe and ironing board and iron home and dining table. Walk in shower was efficient and toiletries are provided. The bed was comfy and the bedroom was equipped with fans, electric blanket, hairdryer and straighteners! There wasn't a garden view in our lodge but there was a private drive that allowed us to take the car right up to the front door of the property which made unpacking a breeze. Away from the property there is a local pub 'The Three Tuns' which does a very nice meal. Not the cheapest place for food but if it is only a night or two then it's great. There is no shop of any kind in the village so stock up before you get there. Alex gave us a fabulous welcome with a little treat (I won't spoil the surprise) and nothing seemed too much trouble for him. If you want a relaxed, private experience then this is definitely the place for you.

Self-contained flat is located in Girton, just 3.7 miles from University of Cambridge and 18 miles from Audley End House. This apartment offers free private parking and free Wifi.

Clean studio apartment near a nice commercial/pedestrian street and mall with several restaurants, bakeries and grocery stores at real close walking distance. The place is on a second floor (no elevator), nicely renovated and it has every single utensil and appliance you may need for a short and long stay. Everything is functional. The decor is quite nice and the glass brick wall gives the place a warm light making it very cozy. Small TV mainly to plugin or use your own accounts, no cable. No oven, but the place has an awesome air fryer that did the job. Water pressure and temperature in the bathroom was great. We really didn't need to turn ON the heater because it's end of March, we could even air the place out a bit if needed, just by opening the window. Plenty of linens and towels, all in great shape and good quality. The area is a neighborhood with plenty of options around on things to do and sightseeing. It is a bit of a walk from the train station, specially if you are carrying a lot of luggage, but it's still doable. Our host touched based with us in a timely manner, and provided tips and the information needed for a perfect check-in/out and stay. Thanks for hosting us!!!
