Places to Stay in Lake Tekapo

The rooms were very modern with a great cooking area. The views are also spectacular!

Great place to stay on the river. We had dinner overlooking the river. They had a great children's playground and restaurant. The rooms were also quite nice.

Location is right in the middle of the town and only meters from restaurants. Parking is right at your door. We had room 12 which was warm and the bathroom was very large and would be suitable for anyone who need accessible facilities. There was a view from the front landing of the mountains and the lake but it was through buildings. The bed was comfortable, and the room was large. Breakfast at Doughboy Cafe was included and was a full hot breakfast which was great. The staff at the accommodation were friendly and helpful.

This has been the best accommodation we’ve had in a two-month road trip in New Zealand. Loved having so much well-appointed space, a gas stove and oven for cooking, the fireplace, a washer and dryer and so much peace and quiet.

Surprisingly spacious with great TV. Very clean. Awesome shower with dual shower head. Great location - walkable to town.

Exceptional location. Beautiful view. House was warm when we arrived as heating had been left on for our arrival. Short walk to Lake Tekapo village. Clean.

This house really suprised us when we arrived - it was so spacious and comfortable. It is in an ideal location - only one block back from the main road & shops in the town and a short walk to the lake. Although the property had 2 lounges we spent most of our relaxing time on the upper floor in a large reception room plus balcony as you could actually see the lake from there. The property was very well equipped, clean and cosy - a credit to both the owners and the agency. It had a real 'home from home' feel. We also loved Lake Tekapo and the surrounding area, we stayed there because we went on a helicopter flight to the glaciers from near Lake Pukaki (I will never forget our first glimpse of the lake when approaching from Twizel) but we also got chance to visit Mount Cook Village which was really interesting. Nearer to the house the thermal baths, lupins and stargazing were an extra treat!

Location was excellent. Everything was clean and cute.
