She went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and her warm, thoughtful presence made it feel like we’ve met a lifelong friend. Jaci’s deep knowledge of the area gave us a strong sense of place and comfort—something that can’t be found on a map.
The views were absolutely breathtaking. Each room had its own balcony, allowing us to soak in the surrounding beauty morning and night. The entire space was spotless, and every amenity was in pristine shape. You can really feel the care she puts into maintaining the home and welcoming her guests.
This was more than just a stay—it was a grounding and peaceful start to our time in Madeira. I would recommend this BnB to anyone visiting the island. You’ll leave feeling rested, cared for, and connected.

It's great that you can park inside the property, but just a heads-up—it's way easier to arrive from the top of the hill instead of the bottom. The entrance is super steep!"

The location is amazing - that's the whole point of booking this place. There are only 4 rooms, so the number of guests is limited. In fact when we arrived there were no other guests so we had the whole place to ourselves - not just the cottage, but the entire valley! I loved having the private outdoor space for residents only, away from the many hikers who come to the cafe. Easy access to the paths. Decent Wi-Fi connection too (star-link).

First of all, the location is great. The property is in the middle of a nature reserve and all the trails start from the lodge. It gives you a chance to leave early and easily beat the crowds. The staff were all very friendly and really helpful. They were great. The rooms and communal area are tastefully decorated. Rituals soap and shampoo are begin offered. All and all, the lodge has a nice vibe. We liked the fact that the breakfast and dinner were put out for us to eat when we wanted. Each room is allocated a fridge partly for that purpose.

The location which is stunning…. the communication with the owner from start to end couldn’t be faulted. So clean! A garage for our hire car which gave us peace of mind. A cocktail bar up the road, beach 10 minute drive, superb restaurants along the marina, an excellent and we found cheap, supermarket 10 minutes away( in car). You NEED a car though the area is lovely for a walk (mostly uphill). The swimming pool is a good size.

Location was perfect,very near to main road,5 minutes to sand beach.The place is very quiet and safe, there is a swimming pool and seaview.

Amazing !!! The location with sea view was just perfect, a tropical garden, a very comfortable and cosy house, we wanted for nothing.
Our host was also very special, providing us with good tips throughout our stay and being an incredibly good host.
If you want to feel really at home on holiday and get to know the island at its best, this is the place for you.

The house was an excellent place to stay! Very clean, mostly very well equipped and the view from the terrace was just gorgeous. It was great to have the pool to provide some entertainment for our 2 year old. Please note you must have a car to get to the property. There are no big shops nearby and the road up to the house was steep. This didn’t bother us though since we had planned to hire a car anyway.

Sonia was an amazing host. She met us at the property and helped us with luggages. She also gave us a tour of the property, which was great. Everything was spot on. It is an amazing place to stay in Madeira. There is a local grocery shop that serves... cocktails. And they are delicious. When I am back in Madeira, I know where I am staying.
