Places to Stay in Lavra

We have been traveling in Portugal for over 3 weeks and have been from Lisbon, Algrave, Douro Valley, Porto and back to Lisbon. This has been the best place we have stayed. You are right on the coast and the Atlantic surf greets you every morning and spins you off to sleep every night. Just far enough out of Porto to keep you out of the crowds, yet very easy to get to. Top shelf restaurants within walking distance, as well as great places to have a beer (or whatever), while watching the surf and great Atlantic. The hosts (Husband & Wife) were just fantastic & the apartment was like a home. Thank you both for a wonderful stay and hope to see you next year, Babs & Bill

Very nice room, clean, friendly staff, near the airport and the metro station.

Extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. The check in experience was very smooth. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. My special thanks go to Gabriel, the server at the restaurant. He was super friendly and helpful. Everyone spoke excellent English.

Central location on the highway and a short hop from the Camino. Great breakfast buffet.

Beautiful room and ensuite bathroom. Comfortable and clean. Once the communication issues were resolved (see below), it was a great experience!

This is a gorgeous brand new property. This is a very large hostel and by far one of the best I’ve stayed in. The rooms are incredibly generous, super clean and there’s lots of space in the bathroom. The staff is exceptional! It’s located right along the Portuguese coastal Camino

The bed was comfortable, the room/bathroom were clean, the shower head pressure was one of the best, & the pool was a great addition! The staff were also very friendly and accommodating.

First of all the rooms were great. Everything clean and tidy, well stocked with everything you might need. It's a very cozy feeling and the hosts really make you feel welcome. What really set them apart was how they helped us and cared for the whole family when one of us had an accident and needed medical attention. Really some of the warmest and friendliest people I have met in my travels. Much love! ❤️

The host was so helpful! Great location and close to the beach and grocery store.

We were met at the property by Daniel so all was very easy.

Actually, there was a hiccup with the property we were to stay at; however the owner went over and beyond to make arrangements for my friend and I to stay at another location and it was won’t.
