Low price Facilities - good size pool, well equipped gym and sauna.

The rooms and breakfast were excellent. The location on the river was lovely. Our 9 year old stayed for free, and there was a small but nice pool, so it was very child friendly.

The hotel is new, clean, convenient, and the staff provides excellent services. The breakfast menu is delicious. I'll be back again. The location is nice. ^w^

Good manner, service for reception(first contact)

The room service was excellent. They put two beds together after asking me if it would be better to have them joined, and I said OK. The restaurant here is excellent too, both in terms of taste and atmosphere.

I visited Chanthaburi not long ago, rolling along Khung Wiman Beach road, along a sandy seacoast filled with tropical fruit and laidback villages with treasure troves of seafood just off the boat. Me, an American journalist, writing stories about Thailand for Western social media, having left free-and-easy Pattaya behind, a city whose main business is often described as pleasure, especially for farang passport bros trolling the beach for insouciant young beauties. Chanthaburi, of course, offers a great deal more. The Muangchan Hotel is a splendid family-oriented, budget hotel with spacious, serene, and immaculate rooms - a wonderful place for any writer to compose his thoughts. It’s an elegant and stately hotel, recalling a bygone era. Not a lot of English is spoken in Thailand - not that any traveler should expect Thais to speak a foreign language - since you adapt the language of your host. When a Muangchan staffer had trouble fielding one of my questions in English, he called for help. Suddenly one of the hotel’s gracious owners was standing before me, smiling, eager to help the traveler. Inviting me to his house nearby, he happily answered all my questions – about climbing Khao Khitchakut, about exploring the Kung Krabaen Bay Royal Development Study Center (responsible for researching the natural ecosystem of Chanthaburi), about where to find breathtaking landscapes of sea, sand, and sky – and more. Understanding my desire to experience the real Thailand – not the Thailand of glitzy ad campaigns – he introduced me to his radiant mother. Her mirth and high spirits are impossible to forget. The entire time, she fed me delicious fruits from her lovely garden, durian, mangosteen, rambutan, and zalacca. The Muangchan Hotel shows the traveler a commitment to a benevolent sense of global community that is rare. The Muangchan Hotel goes far beyond providing you with a cozy place to rest your weary head. Here, you find refuge in the knowledge and practice of dhamma.

Laluna is located around two kilometers from Bus stop and rooms are clean and comfortable for rest. Foods market just 400-500 meters, Chantaburi Catholic Church is also not far away. The staff are nice and you can find coffee for free too. This hotel is located beside small river and they made a place to stay around and enjoy your time as show on picture.

I loved the location and charming old school atmosphere . It is a throw back to another time . If you like experiencing a vintage Thailand river town environment this is the place for you .

Amazing location near the Waterfront Community which opens at 10am. We had a nice overnight and my son enjoyed the giant tv! Unfortunately the outdoor space had been subjected to flash floods and was unusable but we were notified of this the day before our arrival. Washing machine and cooking facilities were a bonus. Oil for cooking would have been appreciated but not expected. Our driver had to drop us a street over because the access way was very narrow. Chanthaburi is a great town to explore.
