Places to Stay in Yilan City

Of first importance is that it was very clean and in good condition. Comfortable bed. Windows can open for fresh air. Water, slippers, ear plugs... nice extras in a basic hotel..

The staff is superb. They are always friendly and will bring any request directly to your room. They will even buy you breakfast, lunch and dinner if asked and recommend closest good reasonably even cheaply priced local restaurants and bring them to your room. Any amenities that need to be replenish, they will also bring to your room. The air conditioning is strong and they even have a fan in the room although it is not needed. They provide free Netflix, an added bonus for those that do not want to miss their normal viewing and series. The room, bathroom and tub are super large and super clean. They have on site laundry facilities if needed. There is a local supermarket with prices lower than convenience stores with fresh fruits and vegetables right behind the hotel. The local bus station Wusha Road is 2 mins walk from the hotel. Dongmen night market is about a 15 minute straight walk from the hotel and 15 minutes from the Yilan Train stations. By taxi the cost is only about 130-150 NTD. The car motel is a family oriented one not the typical "car motel" in Taiwan. It is catering to the family and tourist business. Rates are super reasonable. I rate this hotel and staff far far superior to the likes of Evergreen chain in Taipei or Tainan. I have stayed in 4 star hotels that cannot compare with this one in Tainan, Kaohsiung, Kenting Resort hotels rated 8.3+ to 8.9 on Booking.com in Hualien, Yilan and Jiaoxi so far. I would love to stay at this hotel again when in Yilan. You cannot go wrong with the prices, room size, amenities, cleanliness and superb friendly and courteous services provide by the staff.
