We loved our room. It was so beautiful, we also had a great view of the gardens. The hotel was quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was so friendly! Arianna and Lara were amazing. Borgo Dolciano exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect tuscan getaway. We can't wait to come back.

Great location and very nice owner

Everything about Villa Alari was perfect. The Villa and room were very charming, exactly what we envisioned Tuscany to be. We would stay again and recommend anyone to stay here. Room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. The owner was attentive, explained everything perfectly and helped us with dinner reservations. 2 thumbs up

Everything. Orlando is a wonderful host. The dinner was excellent. Clean, spacious room with very comfortable bed and pillows. Highly recommended. Would return again.:)

Villa Il Patriarca is an elegant but relaxed gem in the heart of Tuscany. Staff is friendly, beds/rooms are comfy, breakfast is exceptional, the Taverna on site has delicious food and the grounds are beautiful.

Some places stay with you long after you leave. Macciangrosso is one of them. The setting is breathtaking: rolling hills, cypress trees, vineyards, olivd trees, the kind of landscape you think only exists in paintings until you're actually standing in it. But what truly makes Macciangrosso exceptional are the people who run it. Warm, genuine, and deeply proud of what they've created, they make you feel less like guests and more like family. Nothing feels transactional here - every interaction carries a generosity of spirit that is increasingly rare. The accommodation itself is immaculate, peaceful in the truest sense of the word, and beautifully integrated into the landscape. Mornings here feel like a privilege. We have traveled quite a bit, but we can say without hesitation that this is the most beautiful and peaceful place we have ever stayed. Tuscany is stunning everywhere, but Macciangrosso sits at its heart in a way that is completely its own. If you are looking for rest, beauty, authenticity, and the feeling that time has slowed down just enough to actually enjoy life - come here. You will not want to leave.

The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one. The home made breakfast with garden views was the perfect start to enjoy your time in the Tuscan countryside. We would highly recommend!

I don’t even know where to begin. Our stay here was truly magical and unforgettable. This is the perfect place for anyone who wants to experience the raw beauty and wild nature of Tuscany, while still being in an ideal location to explore the charming little villages nearby. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely cared for. The staff created an atmosphere that felt like home, and every question or recommendation came straight from the heart. Their passion made our stay feel incredibly personal and authentic. Sleeping here felt like being wrapped in a dream- It’s like staying in a magical farmhouse surrounded by nature. The breakfast was simple but absolutely delicious, with fresh, local offerings that gave us a real taste of the region. One of the highlights was the wine tour, which I highly recommend. We tasted some of the best wines we’ve ever had, all while enjoying stunning views and hearing the beautiful stories behind each bottle. I would recommend this place especially to those renting a car, as it’s not in the middle of a bustling city-but that’s exactly what makes it so special. The peaceful, remote setting is part of its charm. This place will forever hold a special place in my heart it’s where I got engaged. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting for such a meaningful moment.

Serena was very kind, considerate, and welcoming. I had the best dinner of my stay based on her recommendation. The apartment was beautiful, well appointed, private, and even the neighbors were welcoming, including Bruna the puppy :-). Felt very safe for a solo traveler. Bonus - Serena and her husband made me feel very special on the morning of my birthday - even sang to me :-).

A beautiful and peaceful villa in the heart of Tuscany. The house is elegant and spacious, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The host was kind and went out of his way to help us, even arranging food on short notice. We’ll definitely be back!

We loved everything, but what we most loved what staff kindness and the beautiful natural environment.

Position, host kindness, nature

Our group of six spent five nights at Villa Licia (previously Villa Recanati) near Chiusi and could not have asked for a better stay. The villa is bright and spacious and has a nice , well-stocked updated kitchen. The views from here (and especially the large balcony) are incredible. The caretakers (Emiliano and Irina) replied to every question quickly, and helped arranged a four-course cooking class with a local chef that was one of the highlights of our trip — they even shared olive oil pressed from the estate’s own trees, which was outstanding. Tip: make sure to bring toiletries/paper goods; we missed that detail, though the caretakers kindly provided enough to get us started. The location makes day trips throughout southern Tuscany easy, and grocery stores / restaurants are just minutes away.
