United StatesWonderful and warm staff; welcomed us like we were family. We felt cared for and safe. The building is absolutely gorgeous and every detail was lovingly tended to; we always had a warm fire to greet us in the morning and when we returned at night. We loved the location, which was easy to reach from the highway. The hotel is situated on a wide street in a sweet little village. We certainly look forward to staying in this treasure of a hotel again.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The location is stunning for people who enjoy the outdoors. Walking and simply being outside is a joy, and there's an outside swimming pool, amongst many other facilities like a football pitch, a gym, BBQ facilities, etc.
Our rental had a lovely jacuzzi, and it was bigger than expected.

Excellent value! I stayed in the suite which was a really good size and had nice views. Swimming pool area very nice with lots of sun loungers. Breakfast was really good with plenty of selection. The staff at reception were very friendly. Free parking for my motorbike. I ended up staying an extra night because it was such good value and close to some great riding roads.

The staff are brilliant and can't do enough to help. The facilities are great. Very good gym and relaxing swimming pool. Quite a walk into Town but easy location to find. Garage parking for motorcycles Highly recommend 💯😎

Great place to spend a weekend. We only spent one night but it had 2 swimming pools(kids & adults) and mini-golf which is great to keep kids entertained in the evening after exploring the city/outskirts.
The breakfast was amazing and cleanliness too.

A very pleasant place to spend a few days. Very homey as it’s not a big hotel (pousada) - this also allowed for a friendlier, relaxed relationship with the staff. The room was extremely comfortable as well as large with a magnificent view of the castle that overlooks the town.
The swimming pool is extremely pleasant and a refreshing end for some of the hot days we had. Breakfast was excellent in a cosy room and service impeccable..
In the afternoon we were able to order a tasty platter of cold meats and cheese (see photo).

This is a superbly comfortable hotel with lovely views, a really nice swimming pool with free bar, a fantastic breakfast and really friendly and thoughtful staff. We had a lovely week. We had a very early start on the day we left (5.30 am) and the staff prepared us a packed breakfast and coffee - which is something I have never encountered before. This is an expensive hotel but really worth it.

The breakfast arrived in a little box with a table cloth which was very cute, but would have been better if it had been chilled and then maybe the homemade jam wouldn't have had mould spots.
The room was cool and quiet with virtually noise free air con. Netflix was a great bonus.
The location was great and the swimming pool and village area was excellent. The use of the kitchen was a great bonus. The food in the restaurant was delicious, but you do really need a car to get about.
