I usually stay at the Ramada Plaza when I leave Shanghai with early flights. The experience is always very good. The staff is super friendly and the rooms are neat and clean. On this stay we got a free upgrade as my wife and daughter joined me on short notice (which was not part of my booking). Thanks a lot!

The Ramada is exactly what it needs to be: next to the airport, functional, clean and with a good service. The room and bathroom aren't large, but fit the bill perfectly for the function of an overnight stay. The bathroom, particularly, gets extra points for being straight-forward and for not trying too hard (no glass walls between bathtub and room, no "signature" scents...).
