United StatesCheck in was a breeze and the friendly front desk staff gave me a beautiful room on a high floor with a fantastic view! The location was great - close to plenty of restaurants and local tourist activities. Every morning, the plentiful, complimentary continental breakfast buffet, with lots of fresh fruit and juices coffee, tea, a delicious assortment of pastries, hard boiled eggs, toast, jams and jellies, cereal etc. were available. The hotel is very clean and everything in my room worked properly. I highly recommend Oaks Darwin to anyone staying there.

When we arrived we got a room at the second floor. Room was ok but a bit old, nothing wrong with that, clean enough.
We were told there was no room available at the ground floor although we booked months ago. We had a lot of luggage after two and a half months of traveling. When we were relaxing by the pool the manager called us and told us she had another room for us at the ground floor. A wonderful room, big, comfortable with a king bed, new bathroom and good kitchen. Spotless too. Very friendly.

Our apartment was located in a position with views across the Cullen Bay marina and some ocean views. All the facilities in the apartment were satisfactory and the air conditioning was absolutely great. Staff were very friendly and most helpful when needed.

Loved staying down at Harbourside, a good choice of restaurants and the lagoon for a swim.The museum and Gallery is an excellent place to visit with a good cafe. Also the RFDS and War Museum on the wharf is definitely worth a visit. A small shuttle bus which runs around the the harbour area was very handy (and free).

Liked nothing the water in shower was cold and no pressure the bed wasn't fixed it moved every time you got on it it rolled bed was uncomfortable as was the pillows my traveling companion got evicted after I came up positive for Covid although she tested Covid negative which they had no right to do and had to find another motel for one night accommodation we still had there haven't refund the money for the last night we paid for and got evicted even though I went to hospital the owner seemed to bein a state of alcoholic state

Very well located to the Parap marketplace, but very quiet and with little traffic. Very easy to drive about Darwin and to get into the city. Some good features within walking distance, incl Museum and Beach and lots of cafes.

Cabin accom was a mobile unit split in 2 , very basic with 1 window, but had its own shower and toilet, Camp kitchens dotted around was handy. Pool was well maintained and clean. Excellent position to Berry springs NP, Good shops and Pub nearby at Berry Springs.

I liked most is the bed as it’s very comfy to lay my back on it.Room is big and very clean.The owners are very kind and friendly.Even the son of the owner gave us a warm welcome always wearing sweet smile on his face.The property is very clean.Highly recommended.Haven’t got the chance to see around beautiful views but there are lots of tourists spots in this area.We just ordered food through grab as we are tired from our long hours of flight .Very easy to get around the area ,very quiet neighbourhood.
Next visit I will make sure to bring a car with me to see more of this area and stay longer.

having arrived and stayed just one night in terrible highly overpriced Bali Studio i was delighted to go to another accomodation site that is so much better value and i am still pleased we came to beautiful Darwin despite the awful first night.
i recommend the very simple and infrequently mentioned harbour side public park adjoining The Esplanade . it was a delight and free with good amenities and historical information .
Another winner was the Darwin Botanic Gardens. what a knockout this was especially the gallery:event centre and the newly built info centre on the history of this very important botanic park. Eva’s cafe was also terrific as was the inadequately signed series of walks and poorly designed maps and lack of information along the tracks . but i recommend it. it’s a sleeper that could punch above it’s weight with more publicity , better funding (probably) and better signage along the walks.

BEWARE!!
On arrival everything seemed fine, clean tidy and with all necessary amenities. After dark the horrible truth was revealed. When we turned on the kitchen light there were approximately 7/8 cockroaches of varying sizes (including babies) in the kitchen. This was repeated everytime the kitchen light went on Throughout the night this continued. We found them in the bedrooms, the ensuite and even my suitcase.We had to leave the lights on all evening to reduce the amount that were scurrying around the house. When I contacted the owner to advise (and included 7 separate photos of the roaches) I was told that I was a nightmare guest, that I was hysterical and it was 'just a few little roaches mate'.
Good luck if you choose to stay here.

The park accommodates all types of situations from tent to own caravan/ motorhome plus enough space for parking / plus has great pool / laundromat facilities/ clothesline and I stayed mainly at the 2 bedroom house as I love its privacy - great for a get together/ BBQ on large verandah plus has 2 queen rooms and one has additional 2 bunks - very private plus facilities include licensed bar / bands play sometimes and also has takeaway/ sit down dinners

Love Darwin.
Love Darwin. The waterfront is wonderful - very family friendly with swimming facilities and an inflatable play centre on the water. Lots of good restaurants. Botanical gardens is well worth a visit. If you think you will need a car make sure you book before you go - there were none available when we were there. However that did make us go on a couple of tours which were wonderful.
