My biggest concern before arrival was that since I was leaving from Sydney, I was not arriving in Darwin until around midnight and would not get to this hotel until after midnight. So, the thing I was most concerned about was any possibility of arriving and not being able to get the keys to my room. The contact I had with the staff on the phone prior to my booking and arrival was very reassuring and their instructions were very clear. Everything went according to plan and the keys were easily accessible as per the hotel staff's instructions via text about how to access the lock box which is clearly visible to the right of the main doors (I have tried to attach some pictures of the box). The staff were excellent in person and on the phone and the facilities were very good. The hotel is also within walking distance of many shops and shopping centres including a Coles supermarket. For someone coming a long way to an area they weren't familiar with, the staff couldn't have handled all the necessary arrangements better.

Guests can enjoy a drink or meal by the pool at Novotel Darwin Airport. Located only 820 feet from Darwin Airport, it offers free airport transfers and free cable TV.

The hotel is close to the airport and the after hours check in was really convenient as we arrived at 2am. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable.
