Loved the power of the shower, The bathroom is a little smaller than I'm used to (I live in the USA) everything is bigger. The staff in the Bar were very friendly, the Reception very friendly, and the room maid allowed us a little longer to get ready as we were going to DonnyBrook for a wedding. Bunbery was a lovely place. A truly great experience and the gentleman in the liquor store was very helpful, kept us chatting for a while again lovely person.

Basically, we were accomodated in a mining Donga. We were not informed tjis to be the case. The accomodation while clean enough but very very basic. The price was cheap enough, but it was a bit of a shock.

Sadly we didnt get to enjoy our deluxe room as long as we'd liked. Our fault. Visiting friends in town, so by time we got back to room it was 11pm and we checked out at 8am for our flight home. So yes, I can speak to the room being very spacious, the bed being comfy and the toilet doing what its meant to. It had a full kitchen (we think) and a lounge (didnt sit in), a shower and separate spa (didnt use). This space would definitely satisfy for longer stays. We had a perfect view to lighthouse and ocean. Loads of parking available, spread about, so one is always close to your room.

The location was wonderful - so peaceful. Beautiful to sit on the balcony, look out across the dam and hear the birds each morning. Nearby bushwalks were also lovely. The apartment was very clean and had everything you could need. Staff at reception and the restaurant were friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed visiting the Catholic Cathedral for Mass & a visit to The Dolphin Centre. We enjoyed the excellent fish & chips at AJ's Fish & Chips. We also enjoyed a meal at Back Beach Cafe & Restaurant, followed by a walk along the beach nearby. The roads to & from Bunbury are very good & we found getting around equally good.

Collie is a great little town with huge potential for tourism. Situated in rolling hills and surrounded by beautiful native forests, streams and a magnificent dam, I would recommend at least a 1 or 2 night stay. Other attractions include a very realistic replica coal mine at the tourist information centre, a museum across the road containing thousands of fascinating artefacts and coal mining equipment. A stroll around town reveals vintage steam locomotives and rolling stock and I'm sure many other treasures waiting to be discovered. There are plenty of accommodation options but best to book ahead to avoid disappointment.

Lovely little town in the midst of rolling hills and misty mornings. Nice range of cafes etc. Gorgoeus walking trials just on the outskirts of the town. The only thing missing in Balingup was a good pub/tavern.

Great location.

Great location. Quietness of an almost full park, comfortable unit with good facilities, nice fluffy towels. Friendly staff. I enjoyed the jetty watching ppl catch crabs and fish. Loved Pelican Point for my evening walks. Only issue was that Internet lagged, I’m with Optus and apparently a broadband problem.

Bunbury is a bit unimpressive.

Bunbury is a bit unimpressive. The only thing worth seeing there is the Dolphin Discovery Centre. Nearby Mandurah, and the Fergusson Valley with the towns of Balingup and Donnybrook are charming. Gnomeville in the Fergusson Valley will put a smile on the face of both young and old. Don't forgot to bring along your own gnome to add to the collection of over five thousands.

We love Balingup.

We love Balingup. Golden Tree Farm is one of my favourite places in WA, especially during autumn. It was our fourth trip there in the last 9 years after living in Perth for about 15 years. (I am from Korea and my husband is from the U.S.A.) We still enjoy visiting every time. :) Balingup is such a beautiful and peaceful town with a relaxing countryside atmosphere. The drive itself is lovely, especially during autumn when the trees are full of vibrant colours. The fresh air, rolling hills, misty mornings, and quiet surroundings make it a perfect place to slow down and unwind from busy life. We also love exploring the small local shops, cafés, orchards, and scenic country roads around the area. There is something very charming and comforting about Balingup that keeps bringing us back. Every visit feels calm, cosy, and refreshing.

Best place to stay when golfing in the area.

Best place to stay when golfing in the area. It would also be very central for travelling in our south west as it’s near to many attractions. Walking distance to eating places. An entry to Bunbury and further south. Pretty and cool. Go crabbing on the estuary.

We chose Bunbury because The Australian U15 Cricket Championships were being played there over 6 days - so our stay at The Lord Forrest was very convenient. My wife's stayed in the Bunbury Hospital for two & a half days. Excellent care - Drs, Nurses & Physiotherapist were all excellent in their diagnosis, care & advice. We drove around Geographe Bay to Dunsborough, down Cave Road to Cape Leeuwin lighthouse before returning to Bunbury one day & down the Margaret River Wineries for lunch on two other days. Bunbury wasn't the ideal base for these trips.
