Links Lodge is situated at The Dunes Golf Links, one of Australia's top public golf courses. The lodging is located on the Mornington Peninsula, where several high quality public golf courses are located. I started playing golf at The Dunes in 2007 on my first trip to Australia and have regularly played there on many trips. The stylish rooms offer good space and have modern shower and plumbing fixtures. The nearby clubhouse offers a menu with good breakfast and lunch. Golf tee times can be reserved, unless the stay is booked at times when course is closed to public play, such as when large multiday tournaments are held. I've found it possible on most trips to the area to get tee times at The Dunes. I usually stay at a small cottage nearby but this time it was unavailable part of my stay. I would consider the Links Lodge at The Dunes for another stay on future visits. There are in room safes offer an extra layer of security for those concerned about safeguarding travel documents. The lodging is fairly new and opened in the last few years. It is separated from the main clubhouse by a short distance and each unit has parking which is separate from common parking areas. My room was a two minute walk to the restaurant and clubhouse.

The room was one of the best I've stayed in, with a great bathroom, lots of light and an expansive deck with views of the town. Convenient parking and next to the hotel with all that it offers. Also close to a range of restaurants, cafes and galleries. Just a short walk to views of the jetty and Westernport Bay.

Sorrento -part of Mornington Peninsula -other areas include Portsea, Rye, Rosebud. Car makes the following suggestions much easier to visit. Variety of restaurants, cafes, specialty food shops. Variety of " brand" and boutique shops in main street.Visit the Portsea Hotel. Variety of beaches and piers including the Sea Road Ferries crossing to Queenscliff. Plenty of places to eat along beaches in port Phillip Bay side.Meander along Millionaire's Walk.Spend a day at the Peninsula Hot Springs. Visit the gondola at Arthurs Seat. Terrific in a warm Summer but still activities available in Winter.

Stunning coastal views along the beautiful Australian coastline made this the perfect getaway. A peaceful location with a great scenic drive and plenty of quiet spots to explore. We even saw native wildlife, including echidnas, which made the experience extra special. An ideal escape for a relaxing two-night stay.

We stayed on a golf course as husband loves golf. Beautiful course views and kangaroos. Nearby restauratn/brewery was great. Hire care made other areas accessible and would be required to get around. Easy drive from Melbourne airport as roads well sign posted and we took our Garmin just in case.

Heaps of things to do and see if you have the time. A must for the shopping precinct. heaps of Op Shops. The beach is lovely at any time of the year. Getting around Mornington isn't too hard, it does help to have a GPS if you're not use to the area.

Rye was a great area to stay.

Rye was a great area to stay. It was budget friendly compared to other places further on. The foreshore had excellent toilets and park, playground and parking facilities. Rye had the best fish and chips we tasted anywhere in our travels which we enjoyed in the park overlooking the beach which is a safe place to swim as well. Rye was also convenient for our stopover to explore the region and attractions such as Arthurs Seat with it's wonderful views near Mt Martha, The Peninsular Hot Springs which we enjoyed immensely and Cape Schanck with it's dramatic cliffs, wild beaches and walking tracks plus lighthouse which we explored.

Such a serene and lovely place, the hot springs reset you for city life, it was worth every penny, the food is great around the place, surprisingly for a place 1.5 hours away from the city you would not expect for there to be late night eating areas or different cuisines or just so much to do. I want to go back right now

The Keith Motel is a newly renovated little gem located in the heart of Rye, with direct access to the beach across the road. The bed was comfy, the room was super clean and the service was brilliant. Stayed on a warm day and the room temperature was just right. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. My only bit of feedback is the rooms could use some sound proofing from outside noise, you coule hear the cars on the road like the windows were open.

Red Hill is in close proximity to many of the attractions on the Mornington Peninsular. Getting around though does require a car. There are so many wineries in the region that it is impossible to visit them all in a short time. Plan your trip around a few and then come back another day. There are many good restaurants associated with the wineries so no shortage of good places to eat. The spas are also a great way to spend a day relaxing in warm to hot springs.
