"We are not city people, and Meersburg was perfect for us! We stopped briefly in Konstanz and travelled to Friedrichshafen, and preferred Meersburg to them both. It was a beautiful town with plenty of options for food, drinks, and things to do. The Armeemuseum Restaurant was our favorite meal of the trip."

"Lovely spot on Lakes. Good views and nice walkways. Easy to get to , train , bus and ferry services connecting town. Using public transport on travels , the Bondensee card offered by accommodation most helpful ( you do pay for it indirectly as properties charge a city tourist tax) Lots of different types of food options available and a couple of supermarkets ( name brand and bio places). Went to nearby marinas. Amazing places , huge , also had shops and a flash looking restaurant. Great walking and bike tracks from here along lake , towards next town. Found lots of nice spots to sit by lake or swim. Stopped at a little place under shady trees , few beverages and a meal."

We had a really great stay at this hotel. Honestly, one of the best in a long time. The staff is absolutely outstanding: attentive, super friendly, and genuinely helpful throughout our visit. Breakfast was great with a good selection and fresh options every morning. The location is also excellent, making it easy to get around and explore the area. The ambience and furnishings throughout the establishment were so lovely, and the greeting from staff upon arrival was an unexpected treat: complimentary champagne, juice and hors d'oeuvres offered as you enter the hotel. The breakfast is unsurpassed from our prior travels elsewhere and the dinner was truly amazing. The staff were so professional, kind and friendly and the rooms were simply gorgeous. It is perfectly located within a very short walk to the lovely shore of Lake Constance, restaurants and sites of beautiful Meersburg.

We were given a room with a lake view as requested when we booked. The room was lovely with a window opening onto the lake. No balcony at this hotel. The beds were very comfortable. There was a car park available very close to the hotel and the staff were excellent with assistance on our arrival. The location was excellent and just down from the ferry terminal. We could park right by the door to unload our luggage. Excellent breakfast options available and again we could sit right by the lake for our meal.

Great location.

Great location. Easy train links from Zurich train station and Zurich Airport. Very clean and tidy town. Some great restaurants but beware of the huge portions that almost every restaurant serves - even the side salads were pretty big!

Lindau - especially the old city on an island in Lake...

Lindau - especially the old city on an island in Lake Constance - is a beautiful but very touristy place. As Lindau is a small town, you can basically see everything of interest in two days, and can then relax in the nice surrounding. I recommend renting a car to get around, if you do not only want to stay in town.

Uberlingen is in a lovely location right next to Lake Constance. Lakeside promenade with lots of bars and restaurants. We stayed one night en route to Garmisch and wished we had stayed another night so we could have taken a trip on the lake.

A little off the beaten track, but plenty to do.

A little off the beaten track, but plenty to do. Boating, swimming, rent bikes and visit the towns nearby. Hop on the bus (very simple to use and covered by the hotel tourist card) to visit nearby towns, get to the train station, or the ferry station. We were able to visit Lindau-Insel on a day trip by bus/train, spend 5-6 hours there, and still made it back in time for dinner and watching the sunset over the lake. Konstanz, and Insel Mainau are easily reachable by bus/ferry.

We live near Stuttgart, so it’s very easy for us to use the D-Ticket to hop over to Radolfzell. It’s an excellent base to explore Bodensee: 20 minutes to Konstanz, a nice ferry ride to Reichenau, gorgeous homes along the lake.

Hagnau is a beautiful community with wonderful architecture...

Hagnau is a beautiful community with wonderful architecture and gently sloping streets. We felt very safe as we walked the streets. There were many restaurants to choose from. There were opportunities to go to the park, where there were several activities to choose from. There was a wonderful winery with wine tasting within walking distance. The countryside around Hagnau is beautiful also.

a neat little city on the shores of the bodensee, with plenty of shops, and many friendly bars and restaurants to choose from as well as visitor activities. The prices in the bars and restaurants was quite reasonable and less than i was expecting having visited various Germany cities many times. the visitor card was free and issued by the hotel, this included free local travel and reduced admission to some attractions. We used the pass to take the bus on a couple of occasions, once to the therme spa and once to the lakeside beach at litzelstetten. we ate at three separate venues , each one as good as the last so i wont list a preference but the wirsthaus meal had the best view as we sat on the side of the river. we were blessed with good weather all weekend so our activities were all outdoors. there are no big hills in the city.

Lindau was a nice 2 day visit - unfortunately, virtually...

Lindau was a nice 2 day visit - unfortunately, virtually none of the museums and sites accept the Bodensee Plus Card - a rather expensive 3 or 7 day pass that was sold by the Lindau Tourist Information Center - that was a surprise. Very easy to drive to Brengenz Austria for their offerings.
