We loved our stay here! We booked a family room which had a double bed, bunk bed and private bathroom and it was perfect for 3 of us. We ended up staying another night in Salento and luckily were able to extend our stay at CTBH in the same room. Our room included breakfast which was nice and varied, a choice of either choc chip pancakes, French toast or scrambled eggs and toast - all came with fruit. The hostel is definitely on the more boutique end, as it is beautiful and spacious, but still offers social activities and arranges different tours like mountain bike riding and horseback riding. The 24 hour tea and coffee available is amazing, as is how clean the place is kept including communal bathrooms. Our room was cleaned during our stay and we loved the amenities provided in the bathroom. The two huge hostel dogs are also a major positive about this place! It is further out of Salento than other accommodations, but this means it is more peaceful and quiet, and it is only about a 10-15 minute walk to get to the main square, restaurants and supermarkets

The BioHabitat was the highlight of our two-week road trip through Colombia's Eje Cafetero. This place is magical, all 28 glass-walled cabins float into the forest and provide great privacy. The staff is amazing in all areas, from reception to the spa, everyone is attentive, polite, and highly competent. The Basto restaurant is beautifully appointed with magnificent views, and the food is amazing. The complementary breakfast is superb. If you have a car, you can also drive yourself to wonderful restaurants nearby. Don't miss a visit to Circasia, the amazing town nearest the hotel. Family-friendly night life, art crafts, and restaurants in town. The spa is amazing and a great deal. We got the couple's massage and spent time enjoying our (complementary!) drinks at the pool deck during sunset. Wow. We want to go back and spend a whole week!

Beautiful property with great amenities. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed the restaurant—absolutely wonderful food and such great local Colombian cuisine. Salento is a charming little town, although it has become VERY touristy. Many locals have had to relocate, but at the same time, people from different parts of Colombia and even from other countries have found opportunities here, contributing to the growth of tourism and helping visitors discover the nearby towns and activities around Salento. Travel tip: You don’t necessarily need to book a tour to experience more of Colombia’s Coffee Region, but it’s worth considering the different options available. Supporting local businesses helps the community, and these companies usually offer organized itineraries that are especially useful if you have limited time and want to maximize your experience. One of these companies is Rutas Cafeteras Tours.

Pereira has that great Colombian friendliness and welcoming nature that other, more well-known cities like Medellín are famous for, WITHOUT THE INSANE TRAFFIC. Easy to get around in; walking and Ubering were a breeze. Great food. The Museum of Modern Art is a must-see. Being in the Coffee Region, even the coffee at the bus station is incredible! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Everything was great. Beautiful city. The 360 mirador was really cool and the Cable neighborhood was modern and upscale. Riding the Cable Aereo gondolas is can't-miss. The only bad part of the city is driving around is extremely complicated due to all the one-way streets and poor signage. Would like to return to see more.

Armenia is a nice place to visit.

Armenia is a nice place to visit. I came here from Bogota and the slower pace was very nice. There is much more sunshine and the warmer days made my skin happy. I loved Bogota and there are certainly similarities between the cities. It is just that Armenia has more of a small town feel to it compared to the chaos of Bogota.

Most importantly clean, and felt safe with my family. The hotel was beautiful and affordable. The staff was great, and helpful. The only cons were the air conditioning didn’t work while we were there, which is common, and the menu would have gotten old if our stay was longer, but still delicious. The bar and bar staff were great as well. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re planning a trip to this area.

We went for the lights on December 7th, 2025, and it was a great experience! The town came alive for the event and was absolutely packed. I would recommend that if you go for this particular event, "Las Lucecitas", I highly recommend you park your car outside the town on the road leading out towards your hotel. We spent over an hour trying to get out of the little town in a car. A motorcycle is a viable alternative if you can.

I found Pereira to be an interesting and friendly city. From Bolivar Plaza to the surrounding areas of Pereira, I got to meet so many wonderful people. The energy of the World Cup was an added privilege for me, as I enjoyed being a part of something that I would not have experienced back in New York.
