Beautiful views from room and restaurant. Food was good, and the breakfast was enormous. It wasn't busy so the other guests and I were served individually rather than a buffet, and it was more than enough food for me to make take some for my lunch, too.

The property is managed by the restaurant 'Stou Kir Yianni' which is itself an Inn, with lodging upstairs. They have several housing units in the village which are like an extension of the Inn. The place we stayed at was one of those units - the Chelidoni cottage. This review relates to that cottage.
We thought the house was perfect for a romantic getaway.
It has a bedroom, master bath, and decent balcony upstairs, and living room and kitchenette & 1/2 bath downstairs.
It is recently renovated and very modern, yet at the same time rustic and romantic (those stone walls!).
The renovation was very tastefully done, with an eye out for both convenience and charm. Separate remote control A/C unit in each floor warmed the place nicely. I'm sure they will do just as well in summer.
Our hosts loaded the small fridge with water bottles & had basic supplies waiting - tea, coffee, sugar, shampoo etc. Much appreciated!
There are too many other details to mention, so I won't. It's a small place - make no mistake - but a lovely one.
The included breakfast is at the Inn (naturally) and is simple and generous.
We felt like we were taken care of - and everyone was wonderfully nice.
The village itself is quite lively with options for dining and shopping. We were there midwinter - so much was closed, but even so.

Our family enjoyed every aspect of our stay at the New Helvetia. We did not realize until we arrived how unique the hotel is. The rich history is showcased in it's social areas that include a full bar, dining area, sitting area and gorgeous terrace overlooking the foothills of the Troodos. The space is full of vintage charm, but also included all the modern ammenities we needed (updated, clean and well eqipped bathroom), air-conditioning, and strong WIFI service. The staff was incredibly knowledgable, friendly and attentive. They truly seemed to love and take pride in this very special place. Go and enjoy!

Fabulous historic hotel in a beautiful location!
I had seen reviews suggesting it needs updating but I feel like that would take something away from this Troodos Icon - one of its great attributes is its long history.
Forest Park has a nostalgic vibe that obviously keeps generations of families coming back together every year.
The staff was amazing! My adult son is special needs and the entire Forest Park team was unfailingly kind and helpful - The restaurant staff was incredibly friendly and the outdoor dining area was a wonderful way to end our days. We look forward to coming back soon!

I couldn't recommend this hotel any more highly; the surroundings are absolutely stunning, and the room was fabulous. I had the most comfortable sleep on the huge bed, and the balcony with its views was one of our favourite spots. The village itself is beautiful, with lots to explore within and in the surrounding area. We also dined at two of the hotel restaurants, and whilst they weren't the cheapest from our trip, they were worth every penny for the experience. The breakfast spread is also fantastic, including the wide selection of dried fruits and honey still in the comb!

Extremely helpful and friendly host. The room was very nice very and close to the center. Parking onsite. WiFi was good and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was also good with eggs, ham, cheese, toast, and vegetables. The coffee and orange juice were also very good.

Platres is a small village in the mountains of Limassol, its in the forest and there are fantastic nature walks and waterfalls and restaurants. The hotels are overpriced and there is only one or two tiny grocery stores with hardly anything in them so if you're not staying in a hotel then stock up before you get there.

Kakopetria is a beautiful destination that combines natural beauty, historical charm, and a sense of tranquility. Its picturesque setting, with stone houses, cobblestone streets, and lush landscapes, creates an idyllic atmosphere for visitors.
The surrounding nature is remarkable, with hiking trails like Varkotis and Chromium offering unique paths through green forests and along rivers. The peace provided by the environment makes hiking an invigorating experience. Omodos is a beautiful village with lots of nice wineries near by. It can get busy with coach parties but that is to be expected. Most restaurants and cafes close early evening so not a great deal to do in the evening. Wear comfy shoes as there is a lot of walking round all the narrow streets but it is so worth it.
We have visited several times and enjoy it each time.

Kalopanayiotis is a beautiful and very easy village to explore on foot, so no car is really needed once you are there. One of our favourite experiences was visiting the Monastery of Saint John Lampadistis and taking the scenic drive towards Kykkos Monastery. If you are lucky, you may even spot mouflons, the native wild sheep of Cyprus, along the way.
We ate at Nous and Morokanella, and both were absolutely perfect — excellent food, atmosphere, and hospitality.
For groups of friends, the village is ideal for relaxing walks, exploring the traditional streets and bridges, visiting monasteries, enjoying nature, and experiencing authentic mountain village life.

LOCATED IN THE CENTRAL PART OF CYPRUS IT IS NOT CLOSE TO ALMOST ALL THE POPULAR TOURIST DESTINATIONS ESPECIALLY THE BEACHES. THE MOUNTANOUS AREA MAKES IT TEDIOUS TO DRIVE TO ALL LOCATIONS AS THERE ARE NO TUNNELS AND THEREFORE YOU NEED TO DRIVE UP AND DOWN AND AROUND EVERY MOUNTAIN ON THE WAY. NOT MUCH TO SEE CLOSE BY APART FROM THE VERY SMALL WATERFALL.

We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at Ambelikos Traditional Hotel. We stayed in the Supreme Room with a fireplace and spa bath, and it exceeded all expectations. The room had clearly just been renewed and felt fresh, stylish, and extremely comfortable. The fireplace added a cosy touch, and the spa bath was perfect for relaxing.

There were all kinds of sport facilities: basketball, football, ping pong etc, and the most popular hiking trails in Troodos are close by car.
Since there was a problem with the electricity when we arrived, we had the opportunity to try both the small house and apartment type accommodations. You can have more privacy with a house, as it has an own kitchen, but the rooms are much smaller and the wifi signal was very weak, practically none. The apartment was much more spacious, but if you want to cook, you need to use a shared kitchen.
