Amazing view. Very helpful owners who even helped us plan our itinerary. The owners have done a fantastic job decorating the property and have amazing taste. Breakfast was amazing, we got French and Dominican breakfast. The owners had to migrate from Haiti because of gang violence, just wish we could support them more

Hospitality and care for guests is beyond and above what a hotel would offer. The property is across from the beach 10 steps away. Terrace for guests overlooking beach comfortable and well appointed. Room clean bed comfortable terrace big and covered by roof so one can work there or just relax watching the ocean. Restaurant beneath is very good takeout available so what more can one want?

We stayed 4 nights at Takuma and we really loved it! Beautiful construction, thoughtful decor and garden, awesome pool, quiet and relaxing ambiance... The perfect vacation package! The breakfast was great, the owners and entire staff was nice and welcoming, special kudos to the cleaning staff as they did a great job keeping our room pristine even though there were 4 of us! The location is close to all the restaurants, stores and the beach, which we enjoyed a lot. Bravo 👏

The hotel is clean, safe and quiet: you can only hear crickets, birds and waves! If you are looking for a relaxing hideaway you don't have to look any further...a tropical heaven: the ocean and bay views are unique and incomparable, you can spend hours looking at the sea and the landscape without ever getting tired. The room was spacious, confortable, clean and well equipped. I wish I had stayed more, I will definitely return.

This is a gem! The place is beautiful, clean and quiet. It’s conveniently located about 300 meters away from the beach so you don’t experience the noise of traffic or businesses when it gets busy. The staff is very kind, and the hospitality is exceptional. Antonia cooks an amazing breakfast and you can feel the love she puts into it. The check-in experience was smooth, with excellent communication previous to our arrival. 10/10

This was a last minute booking as our flight from Samana was cancelled and rebooked for the next day. We only dealt with one staff member really, while we were checking in. She was absolutely amazing! We were obviously stressed and tired from our day and she made the check-in process seamless. She also go everything set for our check-out the next morning as we were leaving at 6:00am. We has an issue with the AC in our room, we couldn't get it to work. She came over and after also not being able to get it to work she offered to move us to another room and helped us with our baggage. This all seems like basic things, but after the day we had we really appreciated it. Overall we love the warm welcoming vibe of the resort! I would love to go back and checkout the resort and area more.

One of a kind adventure Alex the manager specialty is an awesome dude, Couple of notes this is not ur standard hotel This hotel Does not have wifi Nor hot water in the rooms which is okay It give a full experience of nature so to speak The rooms are open with no way to close it which might be a problematic for some people but for those who likes to sleep in a controlled nature environment this is. The perfect experience The staff is awesome all of them the food is authentic and fantastic of the highest quality I my self recommend this hotel very very much There is excursions that u can do all are very recommended specially the zipline that finishes in the hotel

I came to spend a few days in absolute tranquility to recharge. Hotel Casa Cosón is the perfect place for this. Also, as a woman travelling alone I felt super safe and at peace. The staff was always around but leave you your peace and quiet. The room was very comfortable and super clean. I stayed at the hotel all 3 days and ate at the restaurant every day. The food was exquisite! At Casa Cosón you get the perfect vacation: perfect ocean, super friendly staff (Joel and Zack at check-in worked magic) a lovely tropical garden, delicious cocktails. Make sure to book a room with ocean view. It's paradise!

Fantastic healthy hot breakfast delivered each morning. Danny led a fun ATV tour to 5 beaches. A great day activity and great value. Owner Sara was very helpful when I needed a doctor, local recommendations, tips on area, taxis. Beautiful tropical property w natural plants, ambiance lights, waterfalls. Felt like a peaceful tropical paradise. Attentive cleaning staff and entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Meals at restaurant were very tasty, good prices, lovely atmosphere.

Although I have lived in the DR for 15 years, I had inexplicably never visited Las Terrenas, just a drive-thru once to pick up restaurant equipment for a friend. LT is just fantastic. Although the streets and restaurants are busy, the beaches are so wide open and spacious and provide a feeling of the way the DR used to be.

Las Galeras have some of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. Quite waters, blue waters with white sand. The surrounding vegetation is beautiful with a combination of Coconut trees, bushe and beautiful mountains. From Galeras you cal also visit Playa Frontón, La Playita and Playa Rincon. Quite town, with very little nocturnal action.

Paul is such a charming host. If you catch him in the right time he can tell you all about his adventures. He also knows a lot about local amenities such as restaurants, beaches, expeditions, and transport. The apartment we stayed was a lovely little place with everything we needed. We got good exercise walking up and down the stairs but we were rewarded by a lovely view. Also being near locals we got a good feel about local culture and social interactions. The internet connection was the best we came across in Samana.

I stayed for one night and honestly wish I had booked a few more. El Valle is peaceful, green, and the kind of place where you instantly slow down in the best way. The WiFi was reliable for remote work, and I was able to get everything done while hearing the river and birds in the background. The space was clean, comfortable, and surrounded by nature, exactly what I needed. If you’re looking for a quiet escape to work, reset, or just breathe fresh air, this is the spot. Will definitely be back.

The natural beauty of the beach is the highlight, as well as the opportunity in winter months to travel about an hour across the peninsula to Samana, where the North Atlantic humpback whales spend the winter. I would not recommend staying in Las Terrenas proper (noisy and crowded), but the area west along Playa Bonita is nicely developed, and the beaches farther east toward Playa Carolina are also less congested and pleasant. Playa Coson was okay, but there aren't many options for eating, almost no activities other than hiking, swimming and surfing, and it's only accessible by motorized transport. I would not have chosen to stay on Playa Coson if I had done better homework.

Las galeras is what the more touristy spots (punta cana and puerto plata) were 30 years ago. It is much more primitive but the beaches are amazing and there many to visit. the facilities are mixed - you can find high end resorts and simple rooms to rent. the restaurants are more than adequate but this town does not have the volume of people to keep all perfect all the time expect the mediocre and enjoy when all is great. we will come back it is wonderful

Our stay at Wyndham Alltra was wonderful, and the staff truly made the experience exceptional. A special thank you to Bernardo, all of the bartenders, and the amazing front desk staff — especially Bienvenida and Alizlady — who were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Their hospitality really stood out and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Another shout-out to Josefina, who made my omelette every morning and always started the day with a smile. It was such a nice personal touch that made breakfast something to look forward to. The food was very good, and the beach and grounds were beautiful, open, and very natural. The pool was always clean, and the gift shops were well stocked with everything you might need. We also really enjoyed the entertainment at the Umi Japanese restaurant, which made for a fun and memorable dining experience. Overall, we had a great stay and truly appreciated the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Thank you to everyone at Wyndham Alltra for making our stay so enjoyable.

El valle is very very rural and wild.

El valle is very very rural and wild. We wanted total relax and this place is perfect for this. There’s only a few hotels and all of them have this eco-sustainable vibe that is amazing. If you’re staying at a house (not a hotel) I recommend buying good in Samaná before coming. There’s only very little “colmados” that have maybe ice, been and chips but not big like a super market. There’s not a a lot of restaurants either. Only a few of the hotels have them. There’s a local (and cheap) one called DON PIRON where you have a variety of dishes. There’s a pizzeria also. I also recommend a 4x4 car or at least one that’s not small, the roads are not in perfect shape and there’s lots of dirt roads.
