One of the most lovely hotels I have ever stayed at. It was absolutely charming. We tasted many whiskeys in the hotel bar, guided by the wonderful bartender. Our room had two chairs to over look the bay and we could see the ships arrive. It was really one of the experiences that we will always remember from our (quite memorable) trip.

It was a great location for us between Fionnphort and Craignure. Our beds were so comfortable! We didn't want to get out of bed in the morning. Very convenient to have dinner and breakfast at the Inn. Such a beautiful location. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely come back!

Really cozy pods with comfortable beds, clean space, and efficient design. Kitchenette has the essentials for simple cooking though sink is across the yard in the common area. Toilet and showers were common but cleaned frequently and well equipped; i especially liked having fresh bath mats and would welcome the same system for towels since hanging space in pods is limited.

Good location, not too far from the ferry, few minutes drive from Tobermory. Quiet and comfortable room. We liked the extra comforters and hooks which are often missing elsewhere. The shared kitchen is very well equipped and we enjoyed the board games in the lounge area.

Everything…. Truly. I went around and walked through the most stunning parts of nature and found the standing stones. Fire was prepped for when I returned. We honestly just stayed close and luxuriated in this amazing castle.

Toberomory is a charming seaside town and the main village of Isle of Mull, which is a gorgeous island accessible only by ferry. The first day of our stay we took a tour of the bay with Tobermory Bay Tours, and walked around the town and its environs. The second day of our stay we did a drive around the island, which made for gorgeous views, although driving on single-track roads was a bit harrowing for these Americans. We brought along a delicious picnic lunch purchased at Tobermory Stores, which has lots of local goods (Isle of Mull cheese, smoked goose breast, and local salami). They also have a variety of pasties, including vegan pasties that my vegetarian daughter enjoyed. We enjoyed the Pier for a cozy and delicious lunch (try the smoked haddock soup). For dinner, highly recommend MacGochans which has local seafood (we had the langoustines, which were amazing). We also enjoyed dinner at the Gallery, where I had an amazing carbonara. Absolutely recommend Tobermory for a taste of the Hebrides that is much closer to Glasgow and Edinburgh than Isle of Skye, and not heavily touristed (in mid-June at least)

Craignure is a perfect base for exploring the Isle of Mull, the ferry from Oban lands here. Situated virtually at the mid point to travel to either Tobermorey or Fionnport (Iona) and all that lies inbetween.

What a fabulous location and not only a well appointed pod but the camp site had everything. The Inn was great with fabulous food and a very friendly staff. The access arrangements for the pod were clear and very well communicated in a timely fashion. The pod itself was very well appointed with a surprising amount of amenities available, clearly very well thought out. Highly recommended.

Iona is a place for spiritual pilgrims, seekers of connection with the ancient traditions, and lovers of nature. Not much to do here except walk, pray, read, and ponder. The food is good at the two hotels (Argyll and Columba) and the garden of the Iona Heritage Center cafe is the most beautiful spot on the island to enjoy a tasty lunch (if the weather is not inclement.). The bookstore at the Abbey Welcome Center is wonderful. The Abbey museum is extraordinary. The boat trip to Staffa allows you to get close to puffins during breeding season. One of the great natural history experiences on the planet. Recommend Staffa Trips (the smaller boat).

It was easy to cycle to the ferry for Iona and we were also able to travel around the island by car, but the roads can be tricky if it is busy. We also had a problem with sea water coming over the road on one occasion

Quiet peaceful area.

Quiet peaceful area. Nothing I found made me dislike the area. Duart Castle, home of the Clan MacLean, is nearby and well worth a visit. It is on the way to Fionnphort and the ferry to Iona. If you are interested, you could Fionnphort is one location for cruises to Staffa and the Treshnish Isles. I have added a photo of Staffa from the boat, from the island and the path tp Fingals Cave. I have also added a photo Of Iona Abbey. A lovely peaceful island witha n atmosphere all of its own.

Salen is a lovely, quiet town. It is in a great location and makes it easy to get around to other parts of the Island. We would certainly return again to stay. The Old School was a brilliant place to stay.

Cute little town on the bay, heaps of restaurants and bars, souvenir shops and co-op. Great public toilets and showers and a paid laundrette. Note travel times will differ to those on google maps as the roads are smaller and you can’t travel as quickly. Definitely book a trip to Staffa Island to see Fingals Cave and puffins in early summer.

Craignure is basically the nearest CalMac port from Oban - there are very few facilities in the village. The Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa is just a short drive or perhaps 15 minute walk from the ferry port - it is probably one of the largest hotels on the Isle of Mull. You are well situated to get around the rest of the island by car from here
