"This apartment is beautifully furnished and offers all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. You are close to wonderful beaches for snorkeling - Anse Dufour is especially nice. Jardin Balata is a lovely botanical garden worth visiting as well. There are many restaurants to enjoy a variety of cuisine within a 5 minute drive. You will thoroughly enjoy a wonderful stay here!"

"We loved our location away from traffic and noise. Saint Francois has everything we needed including easy access to the rest of the island of Grande Terre. Lovely restaurants on the marina and nightlife if that's what you want. It is very close to Pointe du Chateau, the easternmost tip of the island which was magnificent and worth the trip."

The situation is outstanding, set high above the Caribbean sea with a view over the luxuriant jungle and the delightfully kept gardens with mango, palm and other exotic plants and trees. At night the song of the frogs and birds lull one to sleep. Breakfast was good, as was the dinner we ordered. The massages were most relaxing, warmed by the last of the evening's sun as it set over the ocean. The host couple were friendly, helpful and efficient.

The property is in a great location. Away from the crowds and hustle of Sainte-Anne but only a five minute drive to the beach and town central. Very quiet and peaceful location except for the mooing cows and roosters in the morning which added to the charm. The hosts are wonderful. Both Gilles and his wife Berengere spoke understandable English and helped us non-French speakers with many questions, book reservations, and provided us with a lot of information. The bungalow we stayed in the first 8 nights was surrounded by lush vegetation and very private. The handicapped bungalow we stayed in at the end of our vacation (the only one available last minute) for 7 nights was also great but not as private as there was a common walkway along side of it and not as much vegetation but we had a huge designated parking space right behind it. The pool was wonderful- very clean and larger than the photos make it seem with lots of loungers, umbrellas, and shade if wanted. Many times we were the only people there mid-afternoon. Listening to the tree frogs singing while sitting outside on our patio in the evening is one of the nicest memories we’ll remember.

The location was perfect for exploring Grande Terre. The rooms were lovely; the pool area divine. The breakfast (and the dinners) were great value, served with attention and care. The hosts were absolutely wonderful, helping us to plan our two weeks in Guadeloupe, and showing great patience with our limited language skills (primarily English, with only a bit of French.) When our travel plans to Marie Galante were disrupted, their help was essential to keeping our vacation on track.

My family has been visiting Orient bay for many years and we have stayed at other hotels in the area. Palm Court is by far the best value with 4 star accommodations. The free breakfast by the pool was wonderful. Fresh croissants straight from the oven! The Junior Suite Family room was perfect, with 2 large king beds, kitchenette and spacious patio with loungers and outdoor seating in the garden. Anne with the reception is charming and warm. All the staff are so kind and helpful. Loungers at Wai Plage on Orient beach included- BIG PLUS! We will return! LOVED, LOVED LOVED OUR STAY!!!

The pool and view are amazing. The orchard path (not suitable for those with bad mobility) was fun to explore and we got to eat some fresh fruit picked right from the tree. Breakfast was really excellent, served right by the pool with the wonderful view. The rooms were very nice with lots of space and the WiFi worked well. They were able to work with me and communicate even though I speak very little French.

The location of Fort Royal is exceptional, unique. The beaches adjacent to the hotel are pristine and incredibly beautiful. Perhaps among the best on the island. The staff is friendly, fun, diverse. The breakfast and dinner are excellent. Cocktails are wonderful. Price is frankly reasonable.

We didn't rent a car and there is not much public...

We didn't rent a car and there is not much public transportation in the area. If you want to get places, you need to walk or take taxis, and they are expensive. But the town is interesting. Lots of restaurants, lovely marina and fishing port, as well as a market in the town centre. Some lovely beaches nearby, but you need a car.

If you want to find a spot with shade on any of the beaches...

If you want to find a spot with shade on any of the beaches near Sainte-Anne in the month of April you need to be there by 10:00 am. Lots of families with children everywhere in April. Lots of sargassum on the shores and floating in the water. Can be extremely stinky depending on what beach you’re at.

The location and access to the beach and a variety of places to dine was great. Very friendly and helpful people who were very accommodating in spite of our lack of French. Favourite places to eat were l'Annexe and Ice'N Coffee. Also the Pizzeria and Glacier place near the Hangar had very friendly wait staff. The desserts here were the highlight. Try Kebb'ab by the casino. Quick, inexpensive and delicious. BBC recommended as a one of a kind gourmet snack.

Le Gosier is beautiful full of life and fun.

Le Gosier is beautiful full of life and fun. The beaches around are just right. Everyone loves lile de Gosier. Do take a trip on the little ferry to the island , bring your swimsuit and a towel go to relax or to swim with friend family have fun. I recomend eating pizza, or having lunch or dinner at the Marina Bas Du Fort or just enjoying dinks at the Dutcha and Anse Tabarin on the beach.

It is a very nice commune, with sandy beaches and beautiful sunsets. Nearby, there are also places for snorkeling: Anse Figuier, and Pointe Borgnèse. Saint Luce has a good location for the most beautiful beaches.

We found a lovely vegetarian restaurant open mostly during the day, but also on Friday evenings. So Elsi, 30 rue Garnier Pagès (pedestrian street). Chez Victor very nice for an evening out, tho not vegetarian, but we found some fish & veg options.

Sainte Anne is a quiet little town (not much through traffic...

Sainte Anne is a quiet little town (not much through traffic), with a very fine beach within 5 minutes walk offering diving and other aquatic sports, turquoise warm water, gentle waves, very safe for kids. There are many good priced restaurants (beach BBQ) just behind the beach - quiet music, you barely know they are there. You have nice views of the bay from a little rise between the town and Pointe Marin, and the most beautiful beach in Martinique, les salines, is just 10 minutes by car, with free parking, and also places to eat on the beach.

Le Diamant is a great alternative to staying in the more touristy Les Trois Ilets, while remaining accessible to activities in the southern part of Martinique. Lodging in this area seemed to be a better value for money.

Cute town, has everything you need.

Cute town, has everything you need. It's less about history and more about inter-action with the locals. The open market near the "Hotel de Ville" was the high point of our trip. The chronic lack of parking is a SERIOUS issue.
