A brand new hotel, very nicely located in a calm area, but close to the city. Contemporary designed hotel with luxury feel and attention to details. The entry hall and the stairs are a true masterpiece. The rooms are clean, comfortable, well organized and fully equipped. Staff was very professional and helpful, yet friendly. We were allowed to check in earlier and were provided complimentary free breakfast. Liana, was extremely helpful throughout our stay. She helped us to plan the visits around and gave us great suggestions. Furthermore, she invited us to the Easter party lunch organized by the hotel with traditional music and tasty food. Breakfast is buffet style, everything is freshly made and very well presented. Finally, food was very delicious. The garage is free , which is a bonus. I would definitely choose to stayhere again whenever I visit Crete.

Beautiful hotel. The pool was quite big! And the pool área is really nice to chill in. Our room was clean, well equiped and beautiful. Staff went above and beyond to help us with our every need. You will have a superb view while eating breakfast which is homemade. Parking in the área can be difficult but old town is just 10 minutes down the street and when you want to go back you can catch a taxi for 5 euro which we did every night. Stay here as many nights as you can!!!

This was an oasis of a place. The most gorgeous hotel I have ever stayed in. From its history to the service to the seriously oppressive beauty of this place, it was almost too much to bear. The hotel is surrounded by nature and gorgeous greenery and so it smells incredible. I kept telling myself all my senses were overwhelmed. The rooms were quiet and the beds so comfortable. I slept so deeply and I normally have terrible insomnia... It was so hard to leave. Depressing actually. This place is like art came to live and you are living in it. Its beauty is captivating and warm. I loved the amazing hike you can do from the Arkady Monastery to the hotel. You can arrange with the hotel to be dropped off at monastery and then you hike back thru gorgeous paths and gorges. Breathtaking views and private. The staff at the hotel offered world class service and attention. They were wonderful and so easy to talk to and happy to assist with any request. The breakfast was a bounty of delicious fresh locally-sourced healthy foods. Overall, this was an unbelievable experience. This hotel should be in everyone’s bucket list. Thank you Kapsalianá for the most incredible experience.

Firstly, this is a large hotel complex with multiple buildings, pools, and beach areas. The entrance is lovely, offering beautiful views of the turquoise sea and palm trees. It is well designed, and the staff greet guests warmly on arrival and assist with luggage to the rooms. The rooms themselves are fairly standard, but clean and comfortable. We had a lovely sea view. Wi-Fi worked well throughout the property. The pool is very large, with plenty of lounge chairs, and the beach area is also well equipped for a relaxing stay. The breakfast area is pleasant, and the buffet offers a good variety of options. There are also several activities available, including tennis courts, basketball, and ping pong.

Having breakfast at the top floor was an incredible experience withe great views of the city walls, the sea and the island (Dia). A great way to start the day and feel the weather. The staff was very attentive and helpful and addressed my requests for information with dedication. A little fridge in the room came very handy.

nice spaceous room. We had a half-board: it was a variative dinner, with some specialities every evening, and base set of other meals. It is on a beach side, although need to pay separatelly for a sunbed on the beach. But you can use a pool on the roof with some amount of free sunbeds there.

We didn't stay in Hersonissos, we stayed in Koutouloufari (a small village 20 minutes walk from the centre of Hersonissos), and I am so glad we did, as Hersonissos is much more of a party base where there are plenty of bars and clubs, and is aimed more at the twenty somethings rather than the family friendly, quieter and much more civilised traditional Greek village of Koutouloufari, if you want parties and late night drinking, then Hersonissos might just be for you, however if you are looking for a quieter, easy going, traditional Greek village with lots of traditional family run restaurants / tavernas, then look further afield to the small villages on the outskirts like Koutouloufari and Piskopiano.

This is wonderful destination and a great base for exploring Crete. There i so much to see and do. We loved visiting Archeological and Natural Museum, Palace of knossos, both of which are easy to reach by public bus. Heraklion offers a perfect mix of history, culture, beaches and delicious food. Very tourist-friendly.

We only came in for one night. It was much too short. Very nice urban streets. We had excellent dinner and then we went to breakfast at a Parisian cafe called Jet’aime and it was the best breakfast we had in years! Exceptional.

Vicky, the hostess, is warm and attentive and does her best to accommodate guests’ requests. The entire team is friendly and helpful. All dishes are freshly prepared and well suited to our tastes. A special mention goes to the young chef, who stopped by each evening to ask for feedback on the dishes.

Overcrowded beach, and because of that it was quite dirty. Most of the restaurants along the front were a bit similar and quite expensive. Sophia’s corner up the road away from the beach had the best food and a fantastic hostess

There are plenty of shops along the main road, (the usual you expect to see on holiday), but it's not what you would call a 'resort town'. It is more a suburb of Heraklion which is mostly residential.

Perfect hotel for a one-night layover.

Perfect hotel for a one-night layover. Relatively new facility with all the essentials. Beds and pillows were perfect, how shower, A/C, parking....very clean too. As a bonus there's a great restaurant serving authentic meals and a nice buffet breakfast too. Friendly people.

It is very nice small town, but still it has many good...

It is very nice small town, but still it has many good restaurants and few bars if you want to spend some more time in the city. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains and has long and very beautiful beach which is never crowded

Great beach, lively resort with being a teen beer fest.

Great beach, lively resort with being a teen beer fest. The people were friendly and helpful. Wonderful choice of restaurants and bars. Loved Romantic Corner at the top of the resort and Nemos bar and restaurant. Great for for families, couples and older travellers. Definately go back!

Quiet and small town, not too crowded, not so many tourists...

Quiet and small town, not too crowded, not so many tourists as in other places, ideal for family or those who are looking for peaceful vacation, a few nice tavernas nearby (we tried Kontra Flokos, Taverna Tzo), there is supermarket nearby, convenient to go by foot, and bus stops with local buses, you can easily reach other towns.
