"We loved Agios Nicolaos. It’s a bustling port town but still small enough around the port area to be lovely. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from.
We did a boat trip to Spinalonga, which was excellent. We also took a cab to visit Plaka and Elounda and another to Kritsa the following day."

"I would tell ANYONE that is looking for a relaxing vacation to stay here! We were already planning our next trip while still there. The staff were so friendly and attentive, the food was amazing and the view were to die for. We ate at every restaurant and even went to the spa. They treated us so well, I don't think anywhere else will ever be able to compare. It did rain while there but that didn't stop us from laying out, swimming and shopping. Walking to town was so fast and easy. We loved opening our patio door open all day and just taking in the views. It was just absolutely stunning!"

"Perfect modern property with many options. If you get tired of the pool on the property, which you probably never will since it’s perfect you can always just walk down couple of steps and enjoy a nice clear water beach. In the evenings we enjoyed eating out at local restaurants which we found to be excellent, and spending time at the property watching breathtaking views. Highly recommend this beautiful Villa."

"Cute city, lovely beaches. Kalamia beach had great vibes, music, best Greek yogurt.
Very very very steep and narrow roads. If you're not proficient with stick shift, get automatic or don't drive. Very scary to drive.
Otherwise if you are good with walked, great Greek village. Lots of nice restaurants.
Simple."

"Beautiful place with lots of tourists. The region is generally very touristic. It has some amazing places to eat, especially in the nearby Makri Gialos where I would recommend breakfast and coffee at Coukos Island and Italian rizotto with mushrooms for lunch at Diaskari, Makri Gialos."

Wow! What a beautiful place. Everything was top of the line. We stayed in a deluxe bungalow suite that overlooked the water. Nice sized room with a sitting area. The property is very spread out, but all you have to do was call the reception and a golf cart would come take you anywhere you wanted to go on the property. There is the main beach and then a smaller more private beach on the property that were well equipped with sunbeds/umbrellas. The breakfast was amazing - buffet with everything imaginable. It is a bit of a walk into town, and you wouldn’t want to do it in the dark, so best to have a car, but it is easy enough to use a taxi.

Everything about our stay at Istron Bay Hotel was exceptional! From the moment we arrived we were treated as welcome guests and not just clients. Odesseas, in particular, was friendly and engaging and helped make our week at Istron Bay Hotel magical! He makes us want to book another visit next year!
The food is incredible, I HIGHLY recommend choosing the breakfast and dinner option.
The views are stunning, the rooms are beautiful and clean, the bed was comfortable.
You won’t be disappointed!

Everything was great during our stay. The location right next to the sea and beach is great. The room was clean and comfortable. Some of the room details were very thoughtful and convenient for a family with a child (like a kid's step stool next to the sink and the double shower that's convenient to take together with a child).
Our 1 year old daughter really enjoyed the water slides and the mini discos.
The staff was very helpful and professional, the food was good.

As part of our honeymoon trip, we intended to know Crete and chose Daios Cove for our stay. But the resort is so good that we didn’t got out of it. The room is spacious, modern and cosi. The pool and beach area and the views are wonderful. The restaurants are excellent, specially the Ocean, where we brightly closed our last night. Do recommend. Finally, the staff is impeccable.

Agios Nikolaos was a very good experience for me and my partner. Plenty of restaurants and bars with friendly, local staff. The place was the right mix of busy without being over crowded. Most restaurants added extras such as small starters and desserts of local produce free of charge which was a nice touch.

It is in a great location one hour away from Heraklion.
It is in a great location one hour away from Heraklion. Between Plaka and Agios Nicholaos which are two lovely towns for day visits. It has lovely shops, a cute beach and great Restaurants. Would highly recommend the Farryman on the boardwalk for a romantic dinner!

Sutija is a beautiful seaside town with a lot of restaurants along the coast. The food is delicious, the locals are friendly and hospitable. The city beach is extremely clean, as is the sea, so it is not necessary to travel to other beaches, but you should definitely visit at least some because they are all beautiful. Probably one of the nicest place in Crete.
Probably one of the nicest place in Crete. In the south-east this small village with harbor and several taverns direct on the sea, which serve excellent food at a reasonable price has no overtourism until now.
At the beautiful 3 km sandy beach, many very nice private App direct on the beach or above the harbor in the old town offer perfect locations to stay. Only at the end of the sandy beach away from the rest of accommodations a hotel complex offers an all inclusive stay.

Big sandy beaches. Good tavernas, we liked MeRaki. Istron is a "strip" of a village running along a main road. There are apartments and hotels up the hillside from the road, with not too much road noise. When rough you can hear the sea from your apartment. Apart from the beaches and eating places there is probably not too much else to do.

Myrtos is a busy little town with parking just on the outskirts. Interesting streets with lots of shops and cafes, so good to walk around and explore. Beach front cafes to sit and watch the world go by. Choice of many tavernas for food and drink.

The house Polidoros itself is absolutely beautiful—thoughtfully designed, immaculately maintained, and perfectly capturing the charm and tranquility of the area. Every detail feels carefully considered, creating a space that is both luxurious and incredibly welcoming.
What truly made this experience outstanding, however, was the host’s warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care, which made us feel not just like guests, but truly at home.

The local restaurants are excellent.
The local restaurants are excellent. We particularly liked the 'Natural foods' one at the turn off for Mocholos, about 4 km from the village. This is a classic family run taverna. However, those in the village were almost as good. In October the place is still lively and pleasant.

It is a very calm and quiet place, perfect to just relax.
It is a very calm and quiet place, perfect to just relax. The beach is very stoney, so watershoes are recommended, but the sea is wonderfully clear and full of fish for snorkeling. The tavernas all have lovely sea views, some with great sunset views as well and the food is excellent. There is only one mini market, so prices are a bit high and the choice, especially for bread, is limited, but you can find all necessities.
