This is a beautifully thought out, fabulous accommodation! The unique, private glamping pods are so well designed, quiet, and comfortable. The bed super comfortable and loved the bedding. Everything, including the shower facilities and kitchen space, was clean and modern. Rayne was welcoming and helpful. She and her partner have created a special place. I travel a lot and this was one of the best accommodation experiences I’ve had. Highly recommend.

We had a great experience staying with Maire & Declan. We had a private bathroom for ourselves, and breakfast was really wholesome. We loved getting to know the host a little bit and felt very comfortable for the time being. Thank you!! We will definitely come back some time.

We stayed at Elaine’s place for one night and had a wonderful experience. The property felt almost brand new, with modern appliances and stylish furniture. Elaine was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. We hope to return and stay for more nights in the future. I give her property a 10 out of 10!

The apartment is charming, comfortable, on a good location, I felt very much welcomed there. Is in the top floor, so the light is amazing, not noisy, easy to go anywhere. Well decorated, warm, beautiful, comfortable. And the property is very nice and helpful.

Property is secure. Centrally located and in walking distance to any amenities. So neat, way better than a hotel. Evrything is there to make it a home away from home. Geraldine is a star. ⭐️

Legan is a very quiet little village but good for road links. If you want peace and quiet it’s the place. No takeaways or restaurants nearby but Justeat I think is available. There is a shop in the village that sells everything you need and a very friendly pub across the road.

If you are into boating yes it definitely is the place for you. The area is well kept and there seemed to be good facilities there, playgrounds, sports fields etc. Some nice local history and information signs placed around the town. The area might be nice for some cycling although not on the main roads I think.

We were there to meet up with family so we didn't use many of the facilities that Longford has to offer. Limited range of good restaurants but lots of fast food places. Good central base to explore lots of Ireland.

Lanesborough is a boring town with few facilities and average pubs. There is now a decent coffee shop where the butchers was, but of course there is now no butchers. There is a mini supermarket which is OK but nothing special. The saving grace is that it is on one ‘corner’ of Lough Ree so has water frontage and nicest views, but they don’t make the most of it. The blot on the landscape is the disused power station that looms over the town, the sooner that is dismantled the better. Locals are pretty friendly and welcoming

This is a part of the country which I wouldn’t think of exploring but I’m so glad I did. I was on my way to a wedding in Roscommon and we stayed in Longford which was within a half hour drive. It was lovely to be by the banks of the Shannon and I will certainly visit again. We ate in “The Purple Onion” and as we waited for our taxi to collect us the proprietor treated us to a nightcap on the house.

Really lovely area along the Shannon where it opens into Lough Ree. Lovely coffee place called Lanesbrew. Lovely restaurant called the Wooden Spoon. Couple of pubs. Lovely walks along each side of the river and a forest walk. There is a Supervalu in town for shopping. No bank and needs pedestrian crossing Lovely lively marinas and a great boat trip with 'access for all' allowing those in wheelchairs have access to being on Lough Ree. Everyone friendly. Fairly central on Longford Roscommon border so great as a base to explore. Great spot and easy to get to. Everything in town within walking distance. Big downside is a huge power plant which is ugly but modern. You do stop noticing it but is not pretty.
