Amazing hotel, we stayed for one night after a long trip. The room was spotlessly clean and comfy, the stuff are polite and helpful. There is a lift. In the morning we had a breakfast for additional payment, it was so delicious, highly recommended. If you arrive at weekend, the laundry is not working, but there is a laundromat 5 minutes away by car.

The location was exactly what we were hoping for! Right in the middle of the main part of the city! I am a creature of habit and was going to default to a Marriott property but this hotel looked appealing! I'm so glad that I did! The apartment we stayed in was a off site from the main property but only steps away. It was very spacious and themed with an "art" decor. This was honestly the nicest hotel we've ever stayed in and especially for the price. The value was so well worth it. The service by the staff was always pleasant and so helpful! Lastly, the breakfast was amazing with lots of choices! The staff will also make you certain coffees and bring it to you. We had a very early morning flight and the made us box lunches to go!

The Aemilia Hotel is a modern and comfortable hotel located near the old city walls of Bologna and about a 20-25 minute walk from the Piazza Maggiore, in the center of Bologna. During our 5 -day stay, we often walked to the city center. We used Bologna as a base to visit other towns, and the walk to the central train station was also 20-25 minutes. The hotel offers all the services of a 4-star hotel, and the staff was very good. The hotel offered a good breakfast (included with our room) and convenient paid underground parking. Our room was nice sized and modern with a modern bathroom. The king-sized bed was comfortable and there was good closet and shelf space on the room. We enjoyed our stay.

The staff was very accommodating for me as a wheelchair user. They put out a ramp at the entrance and left it there for our entire stay. They set up a place for me to have breakfast without having to go up stairs to the mezzanine level. I had only asked for a ground floor room and they gave me an accessible room. I'd stay there again if I could.

We were 3 people, and we thought that one of us will sleep on the couch, but they turned the couch into a bed, even put an extra matress on it in order to be comfortable.

It’s the food capital of Italy!

It’s the food capital of Italy! If you’re into amazing food and great museums, Bologna is a must-visit. The city is full of life, and being a university town gives it such a diverse and lively atmosphere, with something always going on. It’s also incredibly easy to get around on foot, and the beautiful covered walkways are perfect whether you’re escaping the summer heat or the rain. Bologna was such a fun city to explore and definitely worth a stop!

We were pleasantly surprised by Imola—its historical city center is truly lovely. Despite welcoming over 240,000 spectators for the Grand Prix, if you ventured off the beaten path, you could still find quiet streets and charming corners to enjoy in peace. It’s a beautiful blend of vibrant energy and tranquil charm.

Sasso Marconi is a perfect half way point between Switzerland and Rome. The main square in front of the church is a happening place with a market and a great meeting place for the locals. A particular highlight is Profumerie Piselli a perfume/ cosmetic shop just around the corner from the square.

It was perfect for what we wanted as a family of 3. We were travelling from the north to the south and used it as an overnight stop. It was very rural and peaceful which we liked, and Emanuela was very helpful in arranging a table at the local Osteria. They have horses there and a very friendly dog called Missy, who was a great favourite with my daughter. If you want an overnight stop during your holiday I'd highly recommend it.

It's a rather remote, quiet town. Nothing to draw one to except quiet and near the Bologna airport. I ended up choosing to heat up a packaged curry/rice meal from the supermarket, as the only other choice (since I didm't have a car) was a pizzeria.

Stayed for a week.

Stayed for a week. Also visited Florence, Ferrara and Ravenna during the time, which are fairly close by train. Gelato is perfect. Florence has better croissants, Bologna's tend to be too greasy. Span Pizzeria in Bologna has great and not too expensive pizza. Local red wine at La Taberna de Re Vallot is some of the best I've ever had. Porticoes helped a lot with the unrelenting sun. Do a climb to San Luca if you like a sporty adventure -- the whole way, about 2 km, is also covered by porticoes. Local people have great character, manners and especially style. Good choice if looking for artsy, individualist, non-conformist company. No crowds almost anywhere at any time and the streets are very walkable. Supermarket prices are ok. Restaurant costs can baloon with non-free water, bread and so on, not nominally included in the price. Certain kinds of hemp for personal use are legal. A useful thing to know is that many museums are free to enter every first Sunday of the month. Also, most shops are on a break from about 13 - 15 h. Public transport works well. The old city architecture is truly eye-candy. A city where literally everything is beautiful. Somehow, even the graffiti are beautiful and stylish. No stray animals -- if you like petting street cats like me, I recommend Istanbul. Allegedly there are lots in Parco della Chiusa, but I found none, probably because I went on a summer afternoon. All taken into account, 9/10 for me.

We loved the town, it is lively enough, with restaurants, cafes and shops, but less touristy than Bologna which we had visited before that. We felt much safer and relaxed here in Imola. We enjoyed the walk in the historical centre, a visit to the Duomo, walking in the Acque Minerali park. Unfortunately, the fortress was closed for reconstruction at the time but we observed it at least from the outside and learned about its history from a very useful app. It's called VisitARe Imola app and we loved it, it's exactly what you need for individual sightseeing of the city and the surroundings. The kids enjoyed having a look at the Imola circuit and driving in the simulators. And other sights in the region are within a reasonable driving distance. The closest is Dozza, which we felt in love with but also a longer trip to San Marino and Rimini was absolutely worth it. And strangely perhaps, we liked the walk around the Piratello cemetery. It is really impressive and even more so in the time of our visit - just two days before All Saints' Day.

We usually stop in Sasso Marconi on our way to the South of Italy from Germany. La Quercia is closed to the motorway, still in a quiet area, on the hills. We dined at Osteria dei Sani in Sasso Marconi, 8 min drive from la Quercia, very good. The property accommodated my request to have a take-away breakfast, since we had to resume our journey early in the morning. I really appreciated it. The room was clean, spacious and fully equipped.
