I love this place, not just because of the elephants, but because of its beauty and the people. Especially Andrew and Shalika, who were, and are, extremely kind, attentive, and helpful. I will return whenever I can and I highly recommend it.

I don't know why this hotel doesn't have more stars. The staff was very friendly,the price was good,the location and the view amazing. The elephants are bathing twice a day. You need at least two nights here. The food at the restaurant also good.

We wandered the hotel grounds looking for birds, and encountered so many species, from kingfishers to eagles, just on the first day alone! Staff were very friendly and helpful; they arranged transportation for us, helped us track down more of the tropical fruit they served on the menu (the mangoes were amazing), and have connections for a variety of excursions.

The property was beautiful! It is set on the side of a mountain. The pool area was perfect.

We had a great time at White Villa Kitulgala! The host is super friendly and even brought us some tea and chocolate pancakes unexpectedly. It is located nearby a river and it is very fun to go for 'fish therapy'. Highly recommended!

They are just the best! The hosts are super professional and extremely caring and hospitable! It felt like being with my family, whatever you need they take good care of their guests; if you need guidance, recommendation or transportation, just ask and they are here for it. I enjoyed my stay, loved the people their and I will definitely be back. BTW they have other hostels in Sri Lanka, ask about them.

The hotel is truly a hidden gem - we were so lucky to stay there. The atmosphere is wonderful and cozy, with incredibly beautiful nature all around. The calming sounds of nature allow your mind to fully relax. It was exactly what we needed. An essential part of what makes this place even more special is the staff - everyone is warm, kind, open-hearted, and genuinely caring people. The food is absolutely delicious. We will definitely come back here and highly recommend everyone to stay at this hotel. The rooms are clean and tidy, housekeeping is always on time, and there are simply no downsides!

A true gem! Perfect getaway for those who appreciate details. This villa exceeded all expectations. It offers European-standard comfort where every detail is thought through, from the quality toiletries in the room to separate pool towels. The grounds are beautiful: a well-kept garden, a clean pool, and there's even a billiard room. The staff is incredibly pleasant and responsive. I was particularly touched by the hosts' care for local animals — it's very valuable. Tip: To avoid waiting for dinner (everything is cooked fresh), it's better to inform them of your check-in time in advance. And for the perfect poolside rest, all that was missing were just a couple of extra sun loungers. The area is quiet and prosperous, with great shops nearby. We are absolutely delighted and highly recommend this villa!

A balcony with an amazing view right above the river but next to it is an asbestos roof. The staff was very kind and nice. The rooms were clean

The staff greeted us at our tuk tuk and took care of our bags. Our room was nice and clean. There's a mini bar, for a fee, and a store right below. It's directly across the street from the elephant orphanage. In the morning, around 10:00, you can watch a herd of elephant cross the street. Quite a site

One of the best places in srilanka , we had the best time , the views are amazing wooow , totally worth every dollar, the guys helped us taking our heavy luggage, all the time cared about us , put music from our country, and even gave us the JBL speaker , big thank you for both of you , the dinner was very delicious

It is a dreamy authentic structure with all the needed amenities. We stayed at the presidential suite and it was more than wonderful. Huge bed quality sheets and large living room area.
