We spent 5 nights at this accommodation with 2 adults and 3 children. The place features two bedrooms, which provided enough space for our family. Parking is just in front of the building.
The kitchen is fully equipped, including a dishwasher and microwave, which made meal preparation easy.
One of the highlights for the kids was the playground and trampoline, which provided them with plenty of entertainment during our stay.
Overall, the stay was satisfactory, and the space met our needs for the duration of our trip.

I loved the location, the studio was marvellous. When I arrived the lady was very friendly and nice. Great they accept pets! The room was clean and comfi. Had everything I needed. A super nice shower! From the balcony heard the sea nearby and saw beautiful starry night. The kitchen had all essentials, more than I expected. It was warm and the beds were real comfortable. Sea very close, very easy to reach and beautiful walks on the beach. Amazing. I had a great time!

The location is ideal, just a short walk from the dunes and the beach. The room is cozy and comfortable and the cleaning staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful!

This was our last stay for the week in Holland. And what a perfect spot to be.
We biked the Alkmaar and we had dinner watching the sunset.
Me and my daughter thought this was a perfect ending for our journey to The Netherlands.

The zoo and pool is nice, their is a laundry area too. Buildings was nice in its layout even though it feels a little cult-ish. Restaurant does accept cash payment option.

Egmond aan Zee is a charming little beach town in the...
Egmond aan Zee is a charming little beach town in the Netherlands with all the shops and Restaurants you could wish for.
As a family of four we liked to walk to the Dekamarkt for our daily breakfast and snacks at the beach. At night we would eat at restaurants, at the typically Dutch snackbar 'Bij Brigitte' or eat Kibbeling(fish) at the Coast.
We rented bikes for the day to travel further out. The remains of a castle in Egmond aan de Hoef was very interesting for our preteens and the next coastal town over 'Bergen aan Zee' was lovely as well. We visted the Aquarium there which was facinating for the entire family.
Venturing out by foot into the Duinen is recommended as well. We saw wild Horses, oxes and a gorgeous sunset.
In the Smidstraat there was a little secondhand Shop full of antiques. So much so that it seemed more a Museum than a shop!
Everybody seemed to be able to speak a little German and if not their amazing english skills were impressive!

I was in Alkmaar purely to attend the liquicity music...
I was in Alkmaar purely to attend the liquicity music festival and spent most of our time in central Amsterdam.
That being said though, Alkmaar is a lovely little satellite city and the people were genuinely friendly, everyone was riding bikes with very little cars on the roads.
Alkmaar train station had frequent trains running into the centre, and beyond.
Important tip - public toilets cost around 1 euro so have some cash on hand, or a debit card.

I was only staying in Bergen as I wanted to be close to Alkmaar where I travelled to from the hotel. The buses were very clean and nice to travel on but unfortunately they did not run at the scheduled times, I found i had longer waits than anticipated.

Schoorl is a lovely part of Holland - in summer!
Schoorl is a lovely part of Holland - in summer! The dunes are amazing (in summer), stay at Blooming Hotel in Bergen, it's a "proper" 4-star hotel, unlike Fletcher Hotel which is a 2-star hotel pretending to be a 4-star. I've stayed in nicer Travelodges. Schoorl is really a small village with access to the dunes which are famous in the area.

Lovely friday market.
Lovely friday market. Had stroop wafgles and coffee and some nice fish pieces for lunch. Also bought olives to take back for dinner and stroppy waffles to take home.
Lots of lovely places to visit nearby.
We went to a windmill village where we also saw clogs being made and a clog museum( and bought some clogs too!) , a cheese museum and cheese shop, a chocolate shop, and various other lovely shops in the village.
Went on a canal boat trip.
Went to a yummy cheese shop in Amsterdam central. Customary walk through the red light district.
Nice beer in a nice pub.
Walked to the Dunes.
We did loads of things! Great fun.

All was perfect for our likes and needs.

A great country side place, with a small farm next to it which the kids and grownups can easily enjoy together and a trampoline too.
A cozy place, with all the needed utilities.
The proximity to the beach is super! we had a wonderful time there, and could have spent at list a week more just enjoying and relaxing in the country side.

Alkmaar is just stunning - picture postcard perfect.
Alkmaar is just stunning - picture postcard perfect. Only 40 mins by train from Amsterdam it’s ideal for a day trip or an overnight stay. It’s small enough to navigate around easily yet big enough to have lots to see and do over 2 days. Everything seems to slow down here which is great after the busyness of the capital just 50 km away. Alkmaar is a very chilled and relaxed place with great choice of bars and restaurants, and the canal/river boat tour is a great way to see this beautiful town and its environs. The architecture and buildings are gorgeous and it was wonderful to see the amazing windmill there which is still operational - a real highlight for me.

A lot of parking places for cars, bikes, spots to eat and shelter if the weather is bad.
The beach is close to the dunes - surrounded by nature.

Stedliijk Museum very good and an interesting and original display of art and worth visiing, coffee shops Ok and the town easy enough to walk around and OK and I'd rather go there for a few days than Amsterdam, being from a small town, myself and good to visit the beach and get a agood blast of air.
I diidn;t visit the cheese museum (I don't like cheese) or any other museums apart from the Stedlijk but I enjoyed saying 'Cheese' to folk taking pictures of themselves, as that is what you do in England! :-)

A small village north-west of Amsterdam (ca 40 minutes driving). Beautifully located: forest, walking paths, bike paths. 30 minutes walking to the North Sea and not overcrowded beach. There were 2 restaurants near our accommodation. Grocery store is quite distant (30 min. walking).
