RomaniaI always wanted to stay at this hotel in Voss because it's right next to the train station and gondola building, in the middle of the action. Easy checkin and checkout, front desk very friendly. Got a room with city view, other way from the train tracks. Great room size and confortable beds. The mattress was great. The bathroom was big and the shower worked just fine. Hot water any time of the day/night. Breakfast was the best part. They have a great buffet with everything: hot, cold, fruits, gluten free, sweets. All kinds of beverages in a very large saloon with tables that have views everywhere. I liked the breakfast in particular. Right outside you have the bus station and a nice view of the water front. I will choose this hotel again.

The View at Breakfast and also from the Room was Spectacular. They gave us a room where we didn’t have to climb stairs and it was easily accessible. The staff was were very kind. There were friendly sheep around the building.
Always ask for a Table Fan which will be given to you on request, as u will need 1 for slight air circulation in the room….coz u will need to shut the windows coz of the water noise and mosquitoes sometimes.…or else u might feel stuffy or sweaty in the middle of the night…..this is a tip to be used in the whole of Norway.

Excellent place to stay
We wanted easy accessibility to fjord nearby and the location is very good.
Coming to the place it had everything from equipped kitchen to hot water and good beds.
I was traveling with my older parents and toddlers and they were very comfortable.
If you want to visit nearby by spots and fjord this is perfect place to stay.
We checked in late night and host was responding to queries very late hours which was such a help for us.
We loved the stay a neat and clean, spacious place to stay.

Amazing place! We stayed in a private room with a wonderful view over the fjords. The room was clean with very comfortable beds. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed.
The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. We had a great experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

There is enough interesting for a tourist.
There is enough interesting for a tourist. The lake is a pearl, to get around it, you need to use the bridge, and it is located in such a way that the length around the lake is 14 km. But the nature around is beautiful. The city center has many cafes, different nationalities, but the Norwegian one is quite cozy. The ancient stavkirk is one of the few that have real ancient value.

Vickinghaug is set amongst incredible Norwegian fjord scenary. It has the other point of interest in that there is a, no longer functioning in its original capacity , factory in the middle of the Fjord. Because it poses no environmental problems any longer. This factory gives the Fjord an interesting historical relevance. The proprietors are obviously always improving the function of the accomodation to suit lots of different styles of travellers. We stayed in a three bedroom, self catering apartment with views on both sides. We had a drink in the evening looking over the lake and the waterfall and dinner at night looking over the Fjord. The walks in the area are popular because they are so full of natural beauty and thus attract many hikers and campers . The town felt slightly off piste from the over used tourist pathways which suited us perfectly.

Great place to stay for greater access to Hangerfjord and...
Great place to stay for greater access to Hangerfjord and the mountains. Great town with good options for food shopping, lovely cafe and gift shop. Options for tours and boat trips, usually on days when the cruise ships are in. Good base for seeing mountains and a few hours from Bergen if you wanted a long day trip. We had 3 whole days and feel there is much more to explore in the area. There is a communal free sauna in the village which is great for a relaxed day in the area.

Beautiful place with so many waterfalls not too far - Latefossen and others. Also Lots of hiking spots around Tyssedal and Odda (7 min by car or Bus). The Fjord is not so perfect due to industrial works around.

Røldal is a small and a beautiful town.
Røldal is a small and a beautiful town. Nice walk in the nature also the views are fantastic. We did not explore the local food there because we are vegetarian. But tried coffee and Bakari. It was nice.
You can see some good waterfall and steep mountains around the town and good water bodies. We did not swim but I think there are some places you can go swimming also saw some people kayaking.
Folgefonna glacier is approximately one and half hour drive from the town. Given a chance you must go. It is just awesome.

The Ulvik cideries were fantastic.
The Ulvik cideries were fantastic. Walking, biking, and jogging around the town and the surrounding area was so fantastic. One of the farms has an Excellent bakery that is open on Friday afternoon (only for a few hours that one day). Kayaking in the fjord was incredible. Exploring the surrounding areas and waterfalls was simply amazing. Great hikes all around. The town has limited options for groceries and places to eat out, but nevertheless provides everything needed. Definitely worth a visit for a quiet spot to explore the beautiful nature of Norway.

Amazing location amazing cabin amazing facilities amazing scenery amazing host. It will take some beating. Hike up the hill in the snow but pack light or ski in from the slopes. You won't be disappointed. It's amazing.

A very spacious house and very comfortable.
A very spacious house and very comfortable. Suitable for 6 persons. The view is just brilliant. The house is not cheap however. We made the Blue Ice Hik on the Jostalbreen gletsjer from this house, which was 40 min drive.

A rather expensive place and not promoted as a tourist attraction venue by perhaps its government.

The accommodation was spacious, new, modern and well-...
The accommodation was spacious, new, modern and well-equipped. It is a series of separate apartments on the first, second and third floors. Access is from a door on the street and it is not possible to unload a car from in front of the building. You have to park in another location but there is plenty of free parking available nearby. To get up to the apartments there is only a narrow stairway. The first floor apartment has a door opening on to a large roof-space with very nice views of the fjord and surrounding town.
