Great big apartment near Trolltungan trail head. Comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen for cooking. Washing machine in the basement. Big outdoor deck with a beautiful view. Walking distance to the grocery store.

less than 10min drive to Trolltunga P1 parking. The view from the room was something gives me awe followed by peace as I look out. I can sit there the entire morning with the breakfast and coffee in hand. There's EV charge point available just <1min walk from my unit, the rate was one time NOK300 back in June 2025 until fully charge or you unplug anytime after payment so count it carefully if your next withdrawal is the time your EV is fully charged. Staff was responsive over the booking engine chat room. Also, the picturesque Odda town is only <15min drive from the Apartment. My stay was more than perfect!

We were a little concerned because of the latest reviews, but it came out as a pleasant surprise - everything was clean, tidy and well organized. Yeah it's old fashioned, but that gives the whole place rather a stylish charm! We truly felt like in the old days in a good way! They even have a nice terrace with barbecue!

The bedrooms were nice with very comfortable beds and black out curtains, nice TV and storing space. The bathrooms and kitchen looked a bit old (even though the appliances were mostly new) but that didn't affect our experience as guests at all. Overall, great value for money.

Beautiful place with so many waterfalls not too far - Latefossen and others. Also Lots of hiking spots around Tyssedal and Odda (7 min by car or Bus). The Fjord is not so perfect due to industrial works around.

We went from Bergen to Odda on Saturday and spent one night...

We went from Bergen to Odda on Saturday and spent one night at the hostel. We went for the hiking on Sunday early morning and back to Bergen at the afternoon. The small town is really cosy and beautiful.

Tyssedal and Odda are both industrial towns.

Tyssedal and Odda are both industrial towns. There are mountains, the fjord and waterfalls, but there are also large heavy industry factories - one produces titanium oxide and one is a zinc smelter. They are there because they need power and there is a ready source of power from the hydro electric station located inside the mountain at Tyssedal. The location is great if you want easy access to Trolltunga and Bondhusvatnet, but it isn't very touristy - it is more of an industrial area. The Kraftmuseum is excellent. We ended up there because it was raining in the morning - however, it was really good - a film and then a guided tour of the old hydro electric station which has been restored. It also gives a lot of information about the area, how it changed from farming to industry and why it is so industrial. So to summarise - use Tyssedal/Odda as a base but don't expect unspoilt scenery.

Fantastic hostel with free access to the Tyssedal Hotel’s sauna and jacuzzi. The bus stop for the Trolltunga hike is literally a minute walk away. The kitchen was very clean and equipped with everything we needed to cook meals and prepare lunches for the hike. The dorms are comfortable and clean. Bathroom was cleaned daily. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for one night, on our way to Bergen. The check in was done at by a nice and helpful hoast, at the hotel nearby Tyssedal Hotel. The appartment had 2 bedrooms and was very large

The staff were fantastic… helpful and friendly. Our view over the fjord. Close to start of Trolltunga walk. Sauna. Jacuzzi. Good shower and bed. Nice dinner at hotel restaurant.
