This was my first visit to the Philippines. This hotel is located in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone in Olongapo City. There is a pool and free breakfast was available at a little cafe next store. The hotel had WiFi as well. The room was clean and comfortable, but what stands out the most is the excellent customer service. Celine and Andrea were very helpful and pleasant.

I love the facilities almost everyting and everyone, except the poor lighting in the room. Some lights are not working, some plugs are not working too, Lampshed switches, no separate switch dedicated solely, Remote Control not working for the digi Box. Maintnenance personnel should check everything in the room everytime a guest may check in or check out to make sure everything is working properly.

A peaceful, secure location (with free parking) less than 50 meters from the water. The beach was practically deserted. Wonderful sunsets and ocean breezes flowing through the dinning area. Really great food with gourmet meals, wine and desserts a la carte. Free substantial breakfasts. Congenial owners and keen staff eager to provide with you an excellent stay. Showers with hot water. Good air conditioning and free wifi. Clean. No hassle car rental and shuttle to Manila or Clark airports. Spa massages available on short notice. Excellent all around.

Obviously, a great manager here who knows how to run a hotel! The staff let us check in early and were so very kind and professional with sincere, nice smiles! Excellent breakfast with "real" coffee, not instant coffee like many hotels do here in the Philippines. Had in-room security safe included. Gorgeous pool and jacuzzi. Stayed here 3 days and everything exceeded my expectations! Wonderful large room, so clean and comfy bed with lots of soft pillows. Nice balcony to stand outside and look at the mountains. The air conditioner worked to keep the room cool. Large clean bathroom with a nice, big tub. Great shower with hot water and strong water flow! Felt so welcome and appreciated here. The room was cleaned and replenished with amenities every day by very energetic, hard-working housekeeping gentlemen. Many hotels won't clean the room if staying multiple days, but here at Le Charme Suites, they give you their very best! I rarely rate hotels as good as this and would not say all this if it wasn't true. Definitely awesome value here and will come back next trip to Olongapo!

The hotel offers very reasonable rates and is within walking distance of restaurants, bars, shopping mall. Every staff member here was extremely helpful, with special mention to Ate Dorie, who was exceptionally nice and friendly. She went out of her way to assist us during our stay at this hotel, which we greatly appreciated!

There are many places to go. Many food choices.

There are many places to go. Many food choices. Exciting place to tour around the place and the adjacent towns for beach resorts. People are warm. Safe to walk along Magsaysay Avenue even at the wee hour at night. Teeming with nightlife, too. Many malls are in place. 2 SM Malls are located in the central area and in the downtown area. Harbor Point is located just adjacent to the main gate of SBMA. Beach resorts inside SBMA are great! with clean waters and a peaceful cove. Olongapo City is a great place.

The town we stayed in for 3 days and 2 nights was in Cabangan, Zambales. My family and I normally take the public transport as it is a part of the adventure. You can take the provincial bus at the Victory Liner Bus Terminal in Cubao or in Pasay. BUT fair warning , to book your seats ahead especially if you are going on a public holiday. It was an absolute nightmare on 1st of May. Luckily, we were able to book a JoyRide since Grab does not do provincial bookings. For a reasonable price, the four of us were comfortably seated in a car and made it faster than the public bus. This town provides a chill vibe. if you are looking for a bunch beach activities, consider another town such as LiwLiwa. The journey can take 5 to 6 hrs with minimal stopovers.

The resort is about 10 minutes walk from the village, or a short ride on a trike. There are very limited facilities in the village, a few shops, a bank, and a 7/eleven. Very friendly people but the place is also very tranquil. A good place to switch off and disconnect from the stress off the outside. Iba, the nearest town with more facilities and some fast food restaurants) is about 30 minutes away on the bus, so is Masinloc the former capital of the province. If you are looking for nightlife or cinemas, you are wrong here, the nearest place for this would be Olongapo (about 3 hours away)

The usual mess with the traffic and tricycles. A messy city. The beach of the resort was great as it has private lagoons. The open ocean was full of box jellyfish - be careful esp. from April to June.

If u have to make a connection there, get out as soon as u can; very dirty place with a filthy bus terminal and broken toilets; also, keep all items very close: many thieves and pick-pockets roaming everywhere!! Nothing to see or do there, total waste of time ...

Very nice people running the hotel.

Very nice people running the hotel. A bit disorganised, but charming. Food menu limited, but tasty and good value, when it is eventually served. Lots of other places to dine close by. Unfortunately, our family had the flu and did not get to enjoy the resort as much as they would otherwise. The pool does not appear to contain treated water, which is a concern. Beach was fun, but no loungers. Location is nice. Simple and good value. Room was spotless. Thank you.

WE HAD THE WORST STAY!!

WE HAD THE WORST STAY!! The room we booked was a Family Room with SEA VIEW but our view was just a wall! Second, the AC is not working!! It was too hot and we can't even have a comfortable stay because even in our room, it's not cool enough. Third, the water flow in the shower is not working well! We asked for the maintenance to fix and was able to do so - slightly. The room door is slightly opened, it cannot close fully! Mosquitoes and insects just keep coming in!! We could have had a wonderful weekend if not for these mishaps. Even communicating with the owner through Booking.ph is hard. They don't answer!!!

Originally reported great stay with emphasis on “updating” decor furniture old and tired . Bed had old cover over bed stead and found rusty red stains on sheets . I now know this bed had bed bugs and my arm if swollen with over 7 bites from my stay at this hotel ! Beware Have contacted Booking .com for complaint

Capones Island is definitely the best location to visit here...

Capones Island is definitely the best location to visit here. We noticed considerable amounts of plastic waste coming ashore there in comparison with historic pictures - so better be quick to visit. Unfortunately the municipality does not clean up the beach or provide any resting facilities to have food or a bbq. A boat trip to the island will cost you 350 pesos (this is the price offered to the locals).
