Very friendly, welcoming staff and willing to explain and help when needed. The room was a nice size and very nice. Comfortable bed, we even had bathrobes and slippers!! The breakfast buffet was very nice and plenty full. It was about a 35 minute drive to Porto. A perfect place to spent the night after a day in the city.

I spent 3 nights there for a business trip. People working in the hotel are nice and welcoming. Very good sleep, rooms are super clean, everything is new. Restaurant with a short list of high quality dishes, pizza oven also present. I tried different dishes and pizza, everything was excellent. Highly recommended.

Everything! It’s a fabulous mountain retreat. Surprisingly luxurious! Close to 516 Arouca suspension bridge entrance, comfortable and modern. Walk the lovely grounds and well-appointed lounge and bar area and don’t miss the beautiful sunset view. Excellent room with gorgeous view and lux monogrammed towels. Super friendly and gracious staff. Delicious breakfast. Special thank you to Angela and Sandra for making our stay so amazing. They are wonderful! We will definitely return and very highly recommend!

The hotel was very nice all round and great value. The room was superb and had great views over the river in the distance and was very clean. The scenery outside was fantastic and the hotel situated in a very quiet and tranquil location in it's woodland retreat. The breakfast was wonderful and covers everybody's needs to start the day. If I had a negative about the hotel it would be the gym which needs updating with new equipment that actually works and doesn't fall to bits or is in bits and not functional. I did a session on arriving on the first day and it wasn't ideal. Overall very happy and we will return next year. Thumbs up

Every single member of staff we met was so friendly and helpful. Special mention to Francisco in the restaurant who gave us some wonderful travel tips for our road trip through Portugal. As we were there out of season, both breakfast and dinner was a buffet - we were delighted to be able to try so many delicious options. Great location next to the Thermal Spa

We ended up booking a room almost in the middle of the night, where a very kind receptionist welcomed us warmly and provided all the information we needed. The hotel offers private parking, and the rooms are clean, quiet, with comfy beds. In the morning, tasty breakfast are served.

The thing I like about Aveiro is the tiled houses and the ease of walking. Relatively easy to navigate on foot. Great place to explore and experience everything Portugal has to offer. Good access to transportation via train or bus. Easy to get to the beaches.

I visited this beach for four days over Easter and had a wonderful experience. The beach was cleaned every morning and felt lively throughout the day without ever being overcrowded. There’s a great selection of traditional restaurants and cafés along the beachfront, making it an ideal spot to spend the day with family. A well‑managed promenade runs from one end to the other, perfect for a relaxing walk. Parking was also easy, which made getting around completely stress‑free

Having been born in the vicinity, with loads of family living here, it’s almost like homecoming. A fantastic place to visit and so much to do. The surrounding towns, villages and near beaches are amazing. The casino in Espinho is also really good with fantastic shows and meals on offer. Really love the area, it’s not looking run down and quite well maintained. The coffee shops and pastelarias are in abundance everywhere and make for very relaxed and pastry full enjoyable meetings with friends and family.

We stayed in Luso for two nights and enjoyed our time. It is remote so we did not feel as though we needed more time there than we had but we did visit the local spa which we enjoyed and we had the best meal all trip in town! Definitely worth stopping in at.

Ovar is a quiet town with limited restaurants she not too much to do. The appeal is the countryside and lagoon for cycling plus nearby beaches although on October even though the temperature was 27 degree the Atlantic Ocean is too cold and rough for swimming

what a great place if you like to walk, discover nature as much as geological sites and points of interest; there is a wide range of trails of diferents grades, contents etc. If you're vegetarian it's a bit difficult at first sight, but l could enjoy some wonderful dishes: at Assembleia, Tasquinha at the main park and Barbelha (had one of the best Risotto ever)

Torreira is lovely - very little English spoken but locals...

Torreira is lovely - very little English spoken but locals are super helpful and friendly especially if you make an effort with Portuguese! French will also get you by. Torreira is quiet area with beautiful sand dunes and uncrowded fishing beach. Everything you would need within 5-10 min walk. Fabulous bakery close by and lots of great restaurants (especially the seafood one - need to queue to get a table!) supermarkets, chemist, post office (English spoken well here) and cafes. Can walk from one side of the spit of land to the other - 2 very different areas both equally beautiful. Would definitely return. (Taxis not easy to come by and unsure of public transport from Torreira). Sea is quite rough and swimming not often permitted except for a short stretch which is patrolled by lifeguards.

Ílhavo is a small town with an interesting maritime museum that is worth visiting. In the surrounding area there are several points of interest to visit, such as Costa Nova beaches, the Aveiro lighthouse (the largest in Portugal), Aveiro city, the Aliança Underground museum, the Vista Alegre museum.

Our stay was wonderful, combining a peaceful atmosphere with a warm, family-friendly setting. The decor perfectly reflects the location, adding a special touch to the experience. Breakfast was excellent, with attentive service from D. Ana, who went out of her way to accommodate dietary needs during my pregnancy. The hotel offers an open space for guests to explore freely, creating a welcoming, respectful environment. The nearby river crossing is tranquil, perfect for relaxing moments. Highly recommended!

This room was perfect for my husband and I while we were walking the Camino de Santiago. The room was very clean. The shower was amazing. There was also a large kitchen with refrigerator and stove. The room had plenty of space for our packs.
