The ambience of the hotel was really nice and made for a relaxing experience, and the food was good as well. I especially enjoyed their beef noodles. The staff are friendly, beds are comfortable and the pool clean. Great location too. Overall a great stay!

It's a lodge and the theme makes you feel like you are indeed in the bush hotel without being in a bush hotel. Good WiFi , clean and for a dated hotel all is working. Friendly staff as well. It's 600mtrs from the main road and one can miss the Sign if you are not keen enough. This also means there is a lot of buildings and settlements along the road. The road (made of concrete) is acceptable to all vehicles. They're seem like they have several game drive vehicles but this was not offered to us so try enquiring about this option. All in all it's a place I can visit again. ***Travelled as a family so we took the the family residents room****

We hired our Tulia Retreat Hotel driver for pm to visit the...

We hired our Tulia Retreat Hotel driver for pm to visit the awesome African Art Gallery/store (min. 2 hrs.), the Coffee Lodge Disabled artists workshops/store (1 hr.) and a local Arusha coffee farm tour (min. 1-1/2 to 2 hrs.). Can highly recommend all three but need plenty of time to fully explore the African Art Gallery as there are so many floors with multiple sections as well as an extensive outdoor sculture garden.

The area is quite good environment however, things like soaps should not miss in a room. Telephones in the rooms are also very important. It was raining I couldn't manage to walk to the reception to ask for soap.

Stunning, beautiful terrain. The people are my family. The country is improving the roads and taking steps to add more traffic lights on the streets. The police are professional and the businesses respond to your needs. The food is their own and is descent, yet they are open to requests.

I liked the customer care service by the management.It was not far from Arusha town. I enjoyed the Bajaj ride with the many thousands in Tanzania shillings. We had gone for dyslexia talent show and on requesting bolt a bajaj was there pap. We net with other Kenyans and it was all fun. For exchange of currency,one can use withdraw cash via ATM using Visa enabled atm card. It is wise to have a vodacom line Wifi was not stable and communication home was only via whatsapp.

This area is close to the gate of Arusha N.P., Kilimanjaro...

This area is close to the gate of Arusha N.P., Kilimanjaro Airport and Arusha Town. But....the area has it's own treasures: a beautiful tropical mountain forest where you can make different one/two/more hour walks. To spot Colobus monkeys, a spring, running little rivers, lots of different trees and flowers, butterflies, birds....little paradise. Also close is Lake Duluti where I made a canoe ride. And Chemka Hot Springs.. It has supermarkets and a market but also quiet nature.

Arusha is an excellent tourist town full of many things to...

Arusha is an excellent tourist town full of many things to do. My recommendations would be to visit 1) The cultural heritage center which is free of charge. 2) Lake Duluti which has and excellent view of Mt. Meru. We paid an entrance fee of TSH 3000 for a nature walk along the Tanzanian Forest Reserve along Lake Duluti. A boat ride costs TSHS 80,000 for the big boat. 3) Ngare Serro Lodge which has an entrance fee of TSH 50,000 and you can do activities such as horse ride, boat ride on the USA river etc. 4) Hike Mt. Meru

I will return once I am ready with my safari.

I will return once I am ready with my safari. USA River has a lot to offer. Close to Arusha National Park, on the slopes of Mount Meru. Close to Kilimanjaro Airport and Arusha Town Centre. And still in the middle of nature or little authentic Tanzania villages. Beautiful area to stay a bit longer!
