Beautiful modern comfortable self contained unit with lots of coffee and the welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch. The location is a slightly grungy character-filled neighbourhood filled with the typical single houses of Charleston. I loved walking around looking at the architecture. Walking distance to a lot of bars and restaurants, and not too far from downtown.

The hotel far exceeded our expectations. From the excellent and wide range of items available for breakfast, to the afternoon happy hour at 5.30pm where there was a good quality wine plus high quality snacks available, to the evening cookies the overall standard was excellent. Staff were friendly and the room comfortable with plenty of space to unpack. The bathroom was of a good size, with a good shower. Location was great, with many restaurants close by.

Food sucks everywhere you go, $20+ plates and there isn't even salt? Who puts white gravy on shrimp and grits? We tried multiple dining locations and somehow every single one did not meet standard expectations with the exception of Kilwins. Locals drive like they’re stupid and scared. Towards the end of our stay I opted for Ubers/walking because I couldn't take it anymore. City mostly ignores the entirety of its tragic history. Charleston is one of the highest used ports in the country during slavery and how to they commemorate the location where it all happened? An easy to miss plaque next to some trashcans. City is greatly lacking diversity which might explains why the food is trash. Not a place I will ever consider returning unless Im forced to. Saw some cool birds though, International African American Museum and Gibbes Art Museum were the only enjoyable places.

We flew from Michigan to visit our daughter in Charleston. Regotta was on top of our list to stay. It is a beautiful quite area next to a marina at the mouth of the Folly river. Beautiful sunsets and marshes. Bicycle rides to the ocean park beach topped it off. Restaurants and night life is a five minute drive to town. Loved our stay.

The island is beautiful and designed for relaxation.

The island is beautiful and designed for relaxation. We did not golf but it is big there. There are many rules on the island which my friend did not like and she thought the people were uppity. We only had bikes and you really do need a car to get groceries and in case of rain. You will get stuck there without transportation. Also since we did not have a car, I did not print the pass that was sent to us by our Airbnb host. We took a Lyft to Kiawah and had to pay a $20 entrance fee to the island. Had we taken an Uber or printed out the car pass, we could have avoided this fee. We were not told about that. Overall, I would go again and be better prepared the next time.

It was perfect. Not too far from downtown or the beach. But far enough away to get a break from the hubbub of the city. And it's close to restaurants without making it a huge drive to get food, and near enough stores if you run out of things. Perfect space for a perfect trip.

Seabrook Island itself is a gem. The beaches were beautifully uncrowded, and we were constantly surrounded by incredible wildlife—deer, cranes, barn owls, dolphins, and even jumping fish! It felt like we were immersed in nature the entire time. We also loved exploring the nearby Freshfields Village, which had great food options and a charming atmosphere.

The stay was fine, of course new pillows and sheets should be placed on the beds. The pillows were very old as if you were at home and needed to buy new ones. The sheets were very beaded and need to be thrown away. The staff is not friendly nor hospitable at all. They definitely need to work on their customer service skills.
