My wife and I stayed in cabin #1 for 2 nights during our visit to Crater Lake National Park. The cabin was meticulously clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the AC worked very well. The owner of the property is new and engaged in major renovation of the property to include a small store and a new premium cabin right on the river. The grounds were well kept. The river is about 100' from the cabins with a gentle slope and slow-moving water. I sat out on the bank each morning to drink coffee and take in the glorious view of the natural setting with the mountains in the background. This little place is an off the grid escape to recharge and relax away from the urban madness that many of us face in our daily lives. We feel truly blessed to have found this spot and hope to return in the future!

I liked the beautiful views of Crater Lake, the historical site at Fort Klamath, and the nice town of Klamath Falls. The people were friendly. We are glad we went. Fort Klamath area needs a gas station and a breakfast place. The nearest amenities were either 20 miles away from Aspen Inn or a ways into the park. In the park the hours were limited no gas until 10 A.M. and no breakfast until 9 A.M. with limited choices. But the inconvenience did not dampen our trip and we had a great time. Also, the swings in temperature at Crater Lake (from about 65 degrees down to low 40’s) can be surprising so travelers should pack jackets and hats.

It is a good place to stay for a visit to Crater Lake.

It is a good place to stay for a visit to Crater Lake. The town has very few restaurants that are open at odd days. The taco place and Chalet restaurant were very good. Hwy 97 is a busy trucker road so it is a little noisy. The town looks run down.

Very glad that I booked this place when I visited Crater Lake. It felt like the perfect resting spot between my various adventures, including an hour to Klamath Lake and a lovely nearby gorge. I visited Beckie's several times. The pies live up to the hype, but it was really about the friendly staff for me. Only downside: the wifi and cell service is weak out there, so bring a book (or several). Would gladly book here again!

Chiloquin is VERY close to everything around Crater Lake.

Chiloquin is VERY close to everything around Crater Lake. The Mexican restaurant in town was very good. Highly recommend bringing binoculars to watch all of the birds on the river! I saw Great Egrets, Great Blue Herons, a juvenile bald eagle, red winged blackbirds, common mergansers, Brewers blackbirds, magpies and more!

Chemult is less than one hour from each of Crater Lake and Toketee Falls and Deschutes National Forest. It is about 3 hours south of Bend and Newberry Volcanic and Lava Butte. I definitely recommend all three. I recommend the trolley ride around Crater Lake. Avoid Toketee if you have vertigo or are unsteady on your feet because of 20-foot section with narrow path and cliff. Further North at Newberry the Obsidian Flow trail is exceptional and there are hand-railings for the climbs and worth it as long as you can handle steps with railing and slightly jagged path for the actual loop on top of the flow. The Paulina Falls is worth the walk also.

Peaceful, relaxing, atmosphere, cozy cabin and exceptional, friendly and helpful front desk staff made this trip very enjoyable. After a long day of traveling and seeing crater lake, it was a welcome respite. The only problem I had was that there is no Internet or cell service, which was inconvenient because I am a psychologist and was expecting to have phone sessions when I arrived. The Very friendly woman at the front desk offered for me to use the landline. I actually enjoyed not having any contact with the world for the evening. It was extremely peaceful for me. I would stay here again .

The town of Chemult is basically a truck stop, but is the closest town with lodging near Crater Lake. There is one diner/tavern in town and a way overpriced Mexican food truck. Do not stay at the Budget Inn. There are two other motels in town, one.much nicer for the price (but with only 8 rooms) and the Chemult Motel which is comparable to the Budget Inn, but $30 a night less expensive.

About 30 minutes from Crater Lake NP, the town itself it snot much to speak of, but there is several places of interest, beautiful spring fed river runs through town, near by lake, small Casino that has a decent restaurant with good burgers and a nice fish fry, the onion rings are huge. I would recommend checking out the Mountain Train Museums, great for little kids or train enthusiasts, and free. also the Logging Museum, they do a great job with informational plaques and displays of logging equipment and history, also are right next to a State Park with the beautiful spring feed river running through it.,
