We only wanted to see the Getty Museum.
Los Angeles

We only wanted to see the Getty Museum. Los Angeles is extremely crowded with traffic and huge advertising billboards on the highway. Getty Museum had two areas shut down, and was less interesting than expected for that reason. Restaurant had excellent food and service though pricey, of course.

The beds are comfy. The price was ridiculous.
Los Angeles

The beds are comfy. The price was ridiculous. Is too congested right next to McDonald you have to pay for parking and your guest. I never had to pay for parking while being a guest. They give you breakfast vouchers if you pay for breakfast. To keep tabs on who paid for breakfast. They have no microwaves in the rooms. They have only two microwaves in the facility for you to warm up food. They want you to pay for everything here. Everything is money, money money washing is four dollars drying is four dollars. I spent a total of $16 for my clothes. Still not to get dry for 45 minutes. It's ridiculous. I would not recommend this hotel run 🏃🏼‍♀️Found a roach in the room our last day just terrible. I needed service at night I had to call more than once for an answer. Taxi are next to McDonalds.

My favorite part of the stay was our assigned room.
Los Angeles

My favorite part of the stay was our assigned room. My least part of the stay was the staff, the manager and poor service. I am surprised because Hilton Hotels have an excellent representation, one finds services workers helpful, and great guest each time one enters the hotel. Not so this trip. Things I believe would improve my ratings for Homestead Hotel 1. Clean kitchen ,food was all over each counter after guest fixed their plates and no employee was available to wipe up quickly. And the kitchen ran out of plates and seemed to rush to retrieve more plates from guest to wash and put back out. 2. The self services area to purchase snacks and water no explanation provided, so I couldn't figure out how it worked. So I didn't purchase anything. 3. Parking lot, no help to enter. When spoke with manager who came out about getting in, he stated 'you registered through a 3rd party call them.' It took over an hour to check in to the room all to find out they were out of carts. Not a great stay.

Los Angeles

Los Angeles is VERY spread out - so expect to spend a fair amount of time in the car (and traffic can indeed be awful). Best advice for first-timers is to identify what you'd like to see and find each on a map so you understand how to make the best use of your time. The beach isn't close to downtown. The key museums are quite spread apart and there are many different entertainment districts.

Los Angeles has changed for the worse.
Los Angeles

Los Angeles has changed for the worse. The Walk of Fame looks run-down and third-rate. Some of the homeless people are hostile toward passersby. Public transportation helps save money, but beggars manage to get on board, making the ride tense and uncomfortable due to the odor they give off. There are some very beautiful spots and others not so much; poverty is deeply entrenched amidst the luxury. I wouldn't highly recommend this tourist destination unless you are really into everything related to Hollywood.

I enjoy Los Angeles.
Los Angeles

I enjoy Los Angeles. Hollywood can be a little seedy but just carr yon and enjoy yourself. The Hollywood hills are lovely and fun to drive. The Griffith Observatory is a must some amazing views of the city and canyons. The Sunset strip is cool and one street over from Hollywood Blvd. We purchased a Go City pass via Groupon for an even bigger discount. There are many attractions to choose from and worth the value. We just bought the one day pass this time and went on a Big Bus Celebrity Homes tour and then Warner Bros. Studio tour. We drove to Malibu along the Pacific Coast Hwy. to Duke’s and had the most amazing sea bass. Great ambiance right on the water. The area is still recovering from the Palisades fire and mudslides so make sure to put a little money back into their economy. I LOVE L.A.

Our stay was in Hollywood.
Los Angeles

Our stay was in Hollywood. Unfortunately the neighborhood in and around Hollywood Blvd was very run down, the streets and sidewalks including the “stars” in the sidewalk were filthy, there was the smell of urine and marijuana everywhere, the restaurants were dirty and there was a lot of poor homeless people lying on the streets. It was a very sad experience and hard to understand how the local officials could let such a tourist spot go downhlll to this point.

Shady company. Shady staff. Patchwork homes. Elementary-skilled renovations. ZERO STRUCTURE. Just flat out joke of a place to be in. Management is obviously up to something illegal. Book at your own risk.

Los Angeles

I visited LA for the World Cup and made time to explore a few highlights. Santa Monica Pier, the beach, and the surrounding area were beautiful and a definite highlight. Hollywood Blvd is iconic and an absolute must-see if you're in the city. I'd also recommend Griffith Observatory at sunset — the views were absolutely breathtaking, though parking is limited so plan ahead. A car is essential for getting around LA — I wouldn't recommend relying on anything else. There are also plenty of shopping options around, so don't skip that either.

LA is always a great place to visit, especially if you need to escape the heat of the likes of Vegas! There are lots of things to do and see. Just make sure you book the right place for the attractions you want to see/do!
