The atmosphere of the hotel is very quiet and relax. We came to the hotel close to 5:00 PM and they had a welcome reception with wines and charcuterie very nice. Then we met other guests and share experiences about wine tasting and restaurants recommendations. We are from Puerto Rico, and we recommend this hotel.

From the outside the hotel did look a little shabby but I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the room, clean, updated and very well appointed. I appreciated details like a full-length mirror, a well-lit vanity and mirror, makeup remover and actual coffee mugs instead of paper cups. A conditioning shampoo would have been helpful since I forgot mine but there is a supermarket across the street and I was able to purchase something for just $1.67. The lady running the hotel was very courteous and helpful and obviously takes pride in her business.

A beautiful property located in a convenient location. There were outdoor paths in the gardens with sculptures. Art pieces were indoors as well. The spa treatments were. perfection. The rooms were spacious. Best of all was the friendly, professional eager-to-please staff. And to top it off, they lent us a Lexus sports car for four hours!

The Napa area has much to offer for wine-lovers, adventure seekers, and families. There are activities, good restaurants, wine-tasting opportunities everywhere. My only complaint this trip was the construction in process of two huge buildings right downtown, one a hotel, that seem way out of proportion to the lower-rise charm of downtown Napa. Napa has both trendy and old-world charm blended together, and these two modern square high-rises just seem unnecessary and out of character; from what I saw & heard, the existing range of high-end and more moderate hotels and b-n-bs were not near capacity, and this should be a busy time.

The "gem" of Napa Valley in our opinion. Quiet and peace when you want it, and get back on Hwy 29 to see all the sites. At least four or five first class restaurants are in walking distance of most of the accommodations, and the town (village) itself is absolutely gorgeous.

We've been to Napa twice before and wanted something a little less hectic. Rancho Caymus was quiet, and the staff couldn't do more! The Rufferford Grill was next door and a quick walk to an excellent meal. Pool was cool but felt good with the hot temps and after a jump in the hot tub. Fireplace with plenty of couches & chairs to relax with a newly purchased bottle of wine. Relaxing and living the good life!!!

Skewed opinion; my family has been visiting Calistoga for four generations. It's seen slightly better days, and currently has a few empty storefronts on Lincoln, the main street through town. However, the largest resort in town, Indian Hot Springs, is currently undergoing a significant expansion to it's already sprawling grounds, and I believe this should help revitalize a touch. And a touch is all it needs; there are already plenty of fun and interesting shops and restaurants to wander. I just compare now to 20-or-so years ago. For dinner, I highly suggest Lovina (I could wax poetic about this place), Sam's Social Club at Indian Hot Springs, and Evangeline. For lunch/picnic fare, check out CalMart, possibly the cutest market ever, or the farmer's market on Saturday mornings. Some of my can't miss shops include Copperfield's Books, and Picayune for treasures and trinkets (including Hermes scarves and Saint James shirts!). Wine tasting is everwhere, from local wineries to downtown tasting rooms. Can't really go wrong.

In a very accessible part of the Napa valley. And home to hidden gems, if you can call Taylor's Refresher (Gott's Roadside) hidden. The downtown area is quite charming and has a number of reasonably priced dining places offering great food and value like Villa Corona.

Yountville was great!

Yountville was great! We had reservations at French Laundry so this location was ideal but I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the town itself. Everything is walkable within the town so it felt very laid back - no need to stress about traffic or parking. It was all the best parts of a trip to the Napa area without the overrun touristy masses you find in Napa itself. It felt quieter, more refined, and more relaxed. Our hotel (The Estates at Yountville) was also exceptional. I would definitely choose to go back to Yountville again.

Spent three days in Rutherford before traveling to Santa Barbara. We visited five wineries in two days. Heitz Cellar, Corison, Grgich Hills, Robert Sinskey, Clos du Val - all fantastic. Our best meal of the trip was at Bistro Don Giovanni about 10 minutes away. One of the best dining experiences of my life! Would definitely recommend! We also ate dinner at Charter Oak Restaurant which was high quality, farm-to-table food but not quite the dining experience of Bistro DG. We had drinks afterwards at Goose & Gander - fabulous cocktails! We had a wonderful time in Napa and loved our hotel (Rancho Caymus Inn).
