the perfect hotel. I visited Boston several times; this is my go-to hotel now. I spent a wonderful 4 nights here. the facility is beautiful, the room spacious, the bed is great and the whole hotel is beautiful. but above all - the staff is super professional and friendly, with the best attitude of helping and making your stay perfect. they are all great and I would like to specifically thank Jacqueline, who helped us resolve some serious issues with our stay in Boston (caused by my mistake regarding the dates of my flight...). can't thank her enough

I am a very capricious customer. It’s really hard to make me happy. But finally, I found an exceptional hotel where I was completely satisfied and couldn’t find any negatives. First of all, in my comments I noted about my sleep issues and required the quiet room. For two nights I didn't hear a single noise. They made sure that we don't have neighbors and provided us away from the elevators. Secondly, we haven't seen any housekeeping neither in the floor nor in our room. But every single time we returned, it was cleaned, and they brought us some sweet treats, which made my 7-year-old boy very happy. Thirdly, the receptionist, the concierge, and the bell staff were extremely kind and helpful. The bell staff opened the door, helped with luggage, and asked if we needed any assistance each time. The very first moment, one of them politely asked if it was our first time and gave directions to the check-in floor. Also, the person who checked us in did his best, and we were able to check in early. He kindly offered to hold our bags while we took a quick walk to Totte across the road. I was happy and satisfied. I travel a lot and often.

Beautiful location to explore Rockport and Salem. Just a 40mins train ride to Salem to avoid high costs and traffic. Rockport stole our hearts. The views. The friendly locals. The DONUTS! We loved getting texts from staff asking what we needed. But mostly, the help we got when the staff noticed our flat tire. They were incredibly helpful offering to fill it up with air for us. Will definitely be coming back.

Such a fun mix of museums, history, small shops, good food, and waterfront access. We loved how walkable and easy to get around it was. Be warned that if you're here off season (we were) a lot of things are closed in the middle of the week, we got a bit caught off guard by that. If you come during peak season (October), prepare for enormous crowds.

I found Rockport very quaint and scenic. I was a visiting Gloucester for work, but added an extra night in Rockport on my own. If visiting Gloucester again, I would stay in Rockport the whole time. It's only 10 or 15 minutes away by car. Bearskin Neck is very touristy in the best way. Very charming and welcoming. Very quaint shops and cottages. Friendly people in the shops and restaurants and very friendly locals, too. Swimming was restricted at Front Beach because of high bacteria in the water, but it was too cool in June for swimming, anyway. A local woman recommended a short hike to the Headlands where I found a rocky outcrop with an amazing view and did some reading for an hour. The village is very walkable. Definitely would visit again.

Full disclosure - wanted to see the origin story for The Perfect Storm. But more importantly, visit one of the most storied seafaring locations in American history. Oh, and the seafood wasn't bad either. It was fantastic! Ate at multiple local restaurants and the food did not disappoint anywhere. Check out Blue Collar Lobster, Seaport Grille and the Lobster of Gloucester. Highly recommend taking a whale watching tour. 7 Seas Whale Watch was amazing as we saw multiple breaches and a calf playing around the vessel. If interested in conservation, Ocean Alliance will give you a short tour and background about what they do. Wonderful organization. Gloucester is a true gem. Multiple spots to sit and watch the Atlantic as well as a promenade of the inner harbor. The Fisherman's Memorial with the list of names of those lost at sea is a powerfully moving monument. It brings to sharp focus the cost paid by those who worked the seas and helped make Gloucester what it is today.

Quaint bustling town. Great restaurants and shops to explore. The shopkeepers were very welcoming and helpful. Illume, the bookstore, was a joy to visit. We didn't get to everything that Newburyport had to offer, so we're planning to return to do more exploring. We had a fabulous lunch at Loretta's and a sumptuous dinner at The Grog. We also enjoyed our lunch the following day at The Whaler. I had a great pumpkin spiced Chai at a local coffee shop. It was so good I went back the next day for another.

Very much met the expectation of a small coastal New England town. Found walking to most places the easiet l, streets are narrow and parking scarce.
