The Swan Hotel not only met our expectations but exceeded them. We got a cozy cottage with our dog, and we were all extremely comfy. The staff even put a dog bed, treats, and had food and water bowls set up. It is the perfect location. We were able to walk to all the great restaurants and do our shopping. Being at the end of Water St. made it even more peace due to the one-way street. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you, staff!

The setting in fantastic and the rooms had balconies overlooking the lake. The best aspect of the property, however, is the staff. They were, by far, the nicest, most professional people I have ever interacted with at a hotel and restaurant. They were so excellent I am planning to return next fall and stay for a few days!

Great property, spacious, well equipped with all kinds of appliances. It has many entertainments in the unit - hot tub, fire pit, game room and the record player! It is super close to the Olympic National Park. Nice owners, response to questions quickly. We left behind some stuffs when we checked out the property. They kept the items safe and willing to ship the stuffs back to us. It shows they care about customers.

Some reviewers are critical of the eating opportunities in Forks; it's not gourmet heaven, by any means, but there are several decent choices: The In Place and the Longhouse are two perfectly fine spots. The town has some charm (Chinook Pharmacy is a kick, and the Timber Museum is fun). Thriftway grocery is a well-stocked store, and the Ace Hardware a rich resource for outdoors stuff. And spectacular Ruby Beach, and wonderful Marymere Falls trail are nearby.

This property did not live up to expectations.

This property did not live up to expectations. There was a wedding taking place when we checked in and we were not forewarned that the parking, lawn/outdoor access and bar access would be limited or closed off. The noise coming from the party disrupted the peaceful nights sleep we were hoping for and the lack of WIFI service meant that guests were resigned to sitting in the lobby with no food, drink or means of entertainment (except looking out the window at the wedding guests having an enjoyable evening). Rooms are small and outdated and not in working order (shower door did not open/close). The atmosphere was underwhelming the service terrible and to this day, the complaints have not been addressed. For $500/nite - I would definitely look else where for accommodation in this area. It's a beautiful part of the country, unfortunately ruined by a one nite stay at this lodge & poor communication by the management of this property.

We loved the Oceancrest hotel and the dinners there, our walk on the beach, and recommend to also check out small artist galleries and coastal towns in the surroundings. An absolute gem is the nearby Lake Quinault and its stunning rain forest: check out the Rain Forest Nature Trail with its interesting information boards about the "eco-web" of this rainforest.

I loved driving on the beach.

I loved driving on the beach. We were digging for razor clams, hunting for driftwood and glass floats and had our dogs so it was nice to have a vehicle on the sand!! We drove up to the Green Lantern Pub for dinner Saturday night. It was packed but the service didn't suck. We were taken care of, the atmosphere was fun and the food was pretty good. Between our resort and the bar, we found a nice little store to purchase any needed items. We were found ice with our drinks, a cure for indigestion & headaches and of course, snacks!!

The ADU is really cute with all the comforts of home. The patio is a great place to relax with a glass of wine. It backs up to a wetland and the trees make it really private. The kitchen had everything I needed. The bathroom is really nice and the shower is amazing. I found the pillows on the bed too firm. There are softer pillows in the closet but I didn’t find them until the morning. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again.
