"We loved the water park! It was definitely made with kids in mind! Not expensive at all! We loved all the shops on main street and places to eat. Our favorite place to eat was Outsiders Bar & Grill and my husband appreciated the tobacco shop as well! It was easy to navigate around town, not a lot of traffic. Theodore Roosevelt Park would be a great place to explore which is on the way into Watford City from the south. We were lucky enough to be able to attend the McKenzie County Fair while we were there! It was hot but lots of fun! Great community!"

Modern, clean, kitchen, comfortable bed, no noise. I could of slept in longer. Oh, and the free beer on tap upon check in! No where else have I ever had this. I highly recommend this place.

I didn’t get her name, but the front desk was AMAZING. She was pleasant, helpful, professional and kind. It can be extremely stressful dealing with all of the hockey families and she was a champ! On our way to the pool she asked if we liked our room which was super sweet. She is a shining star!!

This is our go to hotel when we’re traveling through Williston! The hotel was really nice and clean. Nice big parking lot. The rooms were really big, clean & very quiet. And the price was great. It’s a little bit of a drive into williston but it’s not a big deal. The front desk staff was very nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody.

Awful beds and the desk clerk didn't know which rooms were occupied nor clean. Very disorganized and frustrating as he was giving us & other customers keys to try and see if rooms were clean and occupied!

Unfortunately we went to Medora in mid April and the town was basically closed. It looks like a great place though. Really enjoyed Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Walks and lots of wild life to look for. The people who were there were very friendly.

As a basic budget motel, it was OK. Staff were fine.

As a basic budget motel, it was OK. Staff were fine. Room missing a few things, but they cured those. I was frustrated because booking.com had indicated it breakfast, which it does not (at this time 10/21).

Watford City is close to the northern entrance of Theodore...

Watford City is close to the northern entrance of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. We visited both the north and south units and the north was our favorite. Watford City is a small town and dining options were a challenge for us, but we loved the proximity to Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

There were restaurants very close to the hotel (within walking distance). We spent most of the day in Medora -- its only a 37 mile drive there, and the rooms are much cheaper in Dickinson. We did walk around the college one day -- a very nice campus!

Medora is a small town that accommodates around 5000...

Medora is a small town that accommodates around 5000 tourists on any given day. The town has several shops with all kinds of souvenirs. There is plenty of things to do if you have kids. Little Bully Pulpit mini golf is a big hit as well as the zipline. Some stuff in town is price gouged but for the most part things are reasonable. The pitchfork Fondeu is excellent and of course the famous Medora Musical doesn't disappoint. The gateway to the South UNIT of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park is located right in Medora. The wild horses and Buffalo can be seen easily. What a fun place to visit!

I like that they are close to the state of art hospital I...

I like that they are close to the state of art hospital I need for my heart and lungs and that my husband is here 20 days out of the month for work. The people here are very friendly and have been so helpful with me. That's about it.

We really didn't get to see much of dickinson.

We really didn't get to see much of dickinson. We there for a softball tournament. That being said the softball complex was the best I have ever seen. Great parking, well kept fields and very friendly staff. The only other advice I have is do not eat at Buffalo wild Wings. Waited almost 2 hours for food and our waitress was rude and not very helpful.

Don't go after October 1st or end of tourist season, whichever comes first. EVERYTHING shuts down. Convenience store for food/fuel, one restaurant and a bar and grill were only options. AmericInn was OPEN. Easy access off of interstate 90. A cute western town and gorgeous Theodore Roosevelt National Park, South Unit. The North Unit is a MUST SEE! Make the drive north on Highway 85. You won't be disappointed. Breathtaking vistas and abundant wildlife.

Watford City is the jump-off spot for Theodore Roosevelt...

Watford City is the jump-off spot for Theodore Roosevelt National Park's North Unit. It has a number of moderately priced restaurants of moderately good quality. There is excellent, relatively cheap, lodging available. There is no car rental available in Watford City, the nearest car rental is at the airport in Williston, one hour away.
