Amazing!! The room and bathroom were very clean, bed was comfortable, pillows were good. Check in staff were friendly. The atmosphere was nice. Parking was challenging to find at first but easy to get around and park yourself then waiting the huge line for valet.

It is a very recognizable staple in Portland. Any time you approach the hotel, there is always people gathering outside plus the vale. Both hotel and rooms were always clean, neat and organized. I also had shipped a couple of small packages and they were received in the reception, something which is incredibly assuring.

staff was very friendly and accommodating. Whenever we needed something they were quick to get it for us. Had information ready for us and helped with our questions.

The rooms in the main building (Hayward) are large and comfortable. The hotel has a new bar/lounge and a new "canteen" in the lobby with many great items. Its location cannot be beaten.

We arrived 2 hours early and extremely jetlagged and when I asked if there was any way to get into our room a little early, we were upgraded to a suite. We had been traveling for almost 20 hours at that point and had another 30 hours more to go to get to our home in Chile. So the upgrade allowed us to rest before the next leg of the trip. We had turned in our rental car so the snacks were a lifesaver and not expensive, we were able to warm up wraps in the microwave and have something decent to eat since walking to a restaurant was a bit far. The staff were so kind to put us into an upgraded room with a sofa to sit on rather than just the bed. And since we were so tired, and needed to check out at 3am the next day, the extra 2 hours in the room really helped us relax and rest and made us so happy.

Location was perfect for me. I left my car in the parking lot and went walking around downtown as I like to walk and if I wanted a couple of drinks/happy hour, I'm not driving. Loved the room, little kitchen, living room and bedroom.
