This is really beautiful 5 star resort on the hill - if you are lucky enough with the weather, you can see mountains and the view is fantastic. We stayed in bungalow which was nicely decorated and has amazing wooden smell. They have sauna at the resort and few pools, we used it everyday, so relaxing

The property is clean, the staff is incredibly helpful. They help arrange late night bus and let us wait in the lobby(which is very comfortable) and use the bathroom/shower. The breakfast also very delicious with so many fresh fruit. I have no complain at all.

I can't recommend Sapa Hills enough! The hotel exceeded our expectations; the place is extremely cozy, warm, and welcoming. Facilities are well cared for, and clean. The best part of everything is the staff and Ms. Trang -the manager-, she's is a lovely woman who will do whatever it takes to help you feel comfortable during your stay and support you as much as possible. On our last day, we left quite early, her staff still served breakfast earlier so we wouldn't go hungry all the way to Hanoi. Sapa Hills was the highlight of our trip to the north of Viet Nam.

The first room we stayed in was small and cramped. The bathroom had an odd layout so that you couldn’t sit on the toilet properly. We expressed our concern and they moved us to a larger room at no extra cost. The staff were so very kind and lovely and accommodating.

It’s very touristy. Radically changed over past ten years. Found two great restaurants - Cuccina and Gecko (next door to each other). Definitely take the funicular from Sun Plaza to the cable car. Short trip but great views and affords good perspective of town. Only 200,000 vnd per person. The cable car excursion is much more expensive. Did it and was very good but I wouldn’t do it again unless the weather was clear (no fog, no cloud).

Mu Cang Chai is a beautiful place, but fortunately quite far from the main tourist routes of northern Vietnam. Given its remoteness, if you're unsure how many days to spend there, I advise to add an extra day. Renting a motorbike is easier for getting around, but the area is ideal for trekking.

It's a lovely area but less developed for tourists than some other places such as Sapa. We really liked it, but it may not be for everyone. There are not many smart restaurants or hotels and very little of the food is adapted for westerners. We did find the people to be very friendly and good food is available, such as the local hotpots, which we really enjoyed. We enjoyed a trek with a guide, who took us into the villages and homes of the local people.

Ta Van is one of the most beautiful and peaceful villages in Sapa. Surrounded by breathtaking rice terraces and mountains, it's the perfect place to escape the crowds and experience local culture. The village offers scenic trekking routes, cozy cafés, and authentic homestays. The atmosphere is calm, making it ideal for relaxation while still being just a short drive from Sapa town. Picturesque, amazing nature, a lot to do. Trekking is a must, the local guides are great and the villages around Sa Pa are just amazing- quaint and beautiful. There are some amazing spas, exciting activities, well set up cultural activities and a lovely town centre that you can walk through with lots of restaurant, bar and cafe options

Mu Cang Chai has similar things to Sa Pa, in terms of...

Mu Cang Chai has similar things to Sa Pa, in terms of landscape, culture and people. However, Mu Cang Chai is more deserted and authentic for experiencing and exploring, moreover, all the beautiful terraced fields that represent the promotion in Sa Pa come from Mu Cang Chai. This is definitely an attractive destination in the future in Vietnam although the travel conditions are not really good.

Sapa City is good to walk around I have breakfast daily in the hotel and breakfast is simple but yummy Location is good & easy to get around Sapa. Next time visit will come around Sep/Oct which I guess the weather will be good

The wonderful quiet place with perfect room with own toilet and shower air-condition friendly people strong WiFi for each floor all house outside secured by cameras. The mountain and river view includes waterfall and rice fields. In luxury interier is fireplace and several places to sit or have a barbecue. Just the best place we staed here in Vietnam.

A great, quiet mountain town - and we didn't even go for the Sunday market! We stayed 4 nights, and would come back. Take tours of the surrounding hill tribes and mountains with Mr Huy Trung, from Huy Trung Homestay, or use his self-guided walking tour maps. We enjoyed the second hand shops and Milano coffee cafe, and a restaurant at BacHA Boutique Homestay, by the lake.
