"Bonza Bay and Nahoon beaches are lovely - but were closed due to sewerage spills. Gonubie remains an unspoilt beach with delicious Heavenly Pancakes and well-stocked curio shop. Blue Lagoon, Beacon Bay, has the pleasant Highlander pub, with excellent food. Much of the central beach areas e.g. Orient beach, are no longer as they were in the past. Best avoided! The streets are full of potholes, take care when driving and keep your doors locked at all times and valuables in the boot."

East London is generally beautiful and easy to traverse from...

East London is generally beautiful and easy to traverse from one end to the other. Beautiful Nahoon beach. Shopping malls (Vincent & Hemingway's) need improvement by adding more clothing stores to increase variety beyond the usual ones. Most importantly, the city is not well-maintained. The local municipality is doing a terrible job of maintaining historical buildings and roads.

We absolutely loved the place.

We absolutely loved the place. We had the sense of being immersed in the peacefulness of nature, amongst lush coastal vegetation and magnificent views of the ocean and the beach. The staff were super-friendly and so hospitable. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely visit again.

Lovely beach with ratepayers association and local...

Lovely beach with ratepayers association and local businesses trying their best to make the town a good destination for tourists. We could not swim for 4 days in Gonubie Beach due to sewage spill higher up the river. Untill Buffalo City can guarantee safe quality of water I will sadly not return to Gonubie - we had to travel 40km to alternative beach for the 4 days.

I have worked here as a SAPS Officer, Station Commanders we would visit different areas from time to time so I know the area but was in hospital on this trip. I ordered in for my family and they enjoyed the different meals delivered by Uber Eats. I asked my hubby to go out with our little one to Hemingway's for retail therapy and entertainment just so she has beautiful memories as bonus

Our stay at Purple Haze was fanstastic!

Our stay at Purple Haze was fanstastic! Louf and Thembi were warm and welcoming. Purple Haze is so peaceful and a perfect escape from our busy lives. The rooms are clean, comfortable and fully equiped. We were surrounded by breathtaking views of the beach and the Cintsa landscape. We would definitely visit again. A perfect mother and daughter vacation stay. Thank you Louf and Thembi ( MamZangwa).

So clean and very pretty with lots of benches to stop and contemplate - the boardwalk and promenade was so nice. Very quiet and one of the best kept resorts in SA I think. Not much to do but relax and swim, but in easy reach of East London and suburbs and Chintsa etc.

East London is a beautiful city.

East London is a beautiful city. The is a few attractions like the beaches, the beach front with a lot of eating places and roadhouse. There are the orient pool and beach. If you don't have you own car it's very easy to get around with e-haling and reasonable prices.

It's a quiet place with friendly people no skelem neat interesting place nearest to the beach sea view we ate At the Deli it's easy to get at cintsa Will book for more days for the next visit wasn't enough for us to stay
